I'm looking into a simple, sturdy mechanical mod for Xmas. One of my requirements is the thing should be indestructible since I'm looking into replacing my eGo for when I'm on the run.

I found the following mod and have came to the conclusion that for the price it can't be beat.

Mountain Vaporizer 18650 Battery Tube

Does anyone know if this mod can be Kicked while using an 18500 instead of an 18650?

The one reviewer says he is using the TF 3000Mh battery which is slightly longer(couple millimeters) then a reg 18650 i would think with a standard length batt you should be able fo fit one in there. best thing to do is go to a site that sells batts like orbtronic and compair the differnt lengths battery alone batt plus kick etc. cept for that you would need someone who actually owns this device since it looks to be their own creation.

i know photos can be deceiving but looks like brass not nickle

In the full kit form they explain the the picture colors are wrong and it's actually pearl nickel.

Mountain Vaporizer Mod

To me it looks an awful lot like an Indulgence V3. There should be all kinds of pictures and reviews out there for a V3 and it might be helpful determining what it's capable of taking in terms of a Kick.

It is a pearly nickle finish with an eGo style connector and should be fine with a Kick and an 18500 battery. I have one of each size but haven't tried the kick in it because you would have to shove the Kick in and push it up with the battery. Only way to get it out would be to shake it out. You might consider a Bolt with extension ring and 18500s instead, that works fine.

I bought the Mountain Vapor mods for a fishing trip...rather drop one of them to the bottom of Erie than my ProVari. They do the jobs fine.
