Finally got another mod! Cigarettes are killing my lungs.... Previously had an Innokin SVD with iClear30 Im guessing this setup will blow it away

Purchased the following

Vapor Flask by Vapor Shark dna 40 - pre order zip charging!
black kanger subtank mini
Kanger Subtank Nickel OCC coils (5 Pack) .15 ohms!
2x LG 18650 HE2

Now I just need some juices! Recommendations on what vg/pg % mix with sub ohms?

Il smoke my damn vuse that I hate till my vapor flask comes. It sucks but I have to stop smoking. I broke my other mod and went back to cigarettes. I love vaping and I should of never gone back... Damn American spirit golds haha Im hoping this setup gives me a better vaping experience then my last Innokin SVD with iclear30. I do love the sensation from smoking the real thing.

With sub ohms, are you vaping mainly for clouds and some flavor or mainly for flavor with moderate clouds or other? Knowing this will help us answer your question.
Welcome and glad you joined.
Hit like on the bottom right hand corner of this post and I (we) can help further.

Honestly with the Subtank and the nickel coils, I would not go with max VG juices. The Subtank coils doesn't wick max VG juices very well and the nickel coils are just basically Subtank OCC's with nickel wire. That said, the juices that I have used with Subtank OCC's (including the nickel ones) were 70VG and 80VG and have had no wicking issues.

i had great experience with my sub tank on a smy 260 using 50/50 juice. I tried other ratios and found that stock kanger coils were hit or miss with wicking. At 50/50 i would get a coil that would not wick and smoked cotton...Once i started rebuilding them did it improve. Now i can use max VG and get great vapor with little burnt cotton. there are a ton of videos that show how to rebuild them. If you are gonna stick to temp control. just get some 28 gauge nickle wire and use that instead of Kanthal or Nichrome. Remember that more pg helps with "more" flavor, more vg helps with " more vapor". If you do DIY Juice, you can play around with the ratios that best serve you since taste is highly subjective....Tons of help here about DIY juice and coil rebuilds...Good luck and good job for staying away from the stinkies....

Have you tried the needle trick with them?

I don't do the fluffing stuff that he did, but I push the pin in there pretty good. Before I did it, I was getting dry hits if I didnt wait a few minutes between hits. After doing that, I am able to chain vape and take more hits than a professional boxer and still not get dry hits, even with straight VG.

I have also read that this is true.
It all comes down what your after and how/what you adjust to achieve it vs how/what your willing to sacrifice to obtain it.
Flavor and heat over amount of smoke output
Always good to have a spare.
I wouldn't exactly call the vuse a spare.... after smoking my last cig around 3 IV almost gone threw 2 cartridges not even 12 hours later. I mean I am a pack a day organic American spirit smoker... I would sometimes chain smoke too. Regular cigarettes forget it il smoke 2 packs a day.

That's why I got the kanger over the aspire for rebuilding :D

Thanks! Very good info I remember reading that somewhere glad you shared that video :thumb:

I also talked to vaporshark on the phone more than once. Great customer support!! They said the new vapor flask might not ship till next week depending on where I am in line but it shipped this morning!! I'm located in central east coast Florida so everything should come tomorrow :D supper stoked!

Now I need to figure out what mg nicotine lvl to use with my nickle coil subtank setup. Iv read that I don't need as high of a mg lvl with this setup. Suggestions?

I think your last question might belong in the General E-Liquid forum under sub Forum "DIY E Liquid"? You might get more answers with greater experienced users.
You could reference this post and ask.

I'd normally recommend 12mg juice for a heavy smoker trying to quit.

Then again you're using a sub ohm setup. I can"t sub ohm anything higher than 6mg myself, although my ADV at 1.5 ohms is 12mg.

Then again the TC coils seem to produce a slightly milder vape than the Kanthal coils, so maybe you could push it to 9mg juice.

I'd suggest a 40PG 60VG to retain some of the flavour and throat hit the PG carries.

Do post some picks of the Vapor Shark Vapor Flask. I haven't seen one yet :)

Also you'd be best off ordering another pair of LG HE2's.

These batteries take about four hours to charge at 0.5amps in an external charger, so you'll need another pair while they are on charge.

You can charge them at 1amp, but IMO they perform better if charged at 0.5amps.

Zip charging is new to me. I've heard it's fast, not sure if it does the batteries much good though.

Not trying to quit nicotine right now. I like the stimulating effects for concentration. But I don't want to get killed by vaping to high of a mg lvl in my setup. I'll get 12mg and a lower mg one of the same flavor see where my sweet spot is.

Zip charging will definitely kill the batteries overall life. I saw the lg 3000mah's after I order the HE2 don't know if they perform the same. Il take the decreased life over slow charging anyday though.

Will definitely post pics. Should look Badass with the black subtank and red o rings.
