Would running the IPV d2 on 60 watts (tank or rda) still drain the battery quickly? If I decide on this mod I was planning on getting two 18650s and swapping them out?
Your defiantly going to want to get 2 18650's for 40w+. My sigelei mini at 50w lasts probably about 3 to 4 hours on a day off work. At work it will last 12 hours but I'm not vaping too much. The thing is when the battery charge gets around 3.7 volts of batter life left, if your at like 50w to 60w it wont be able to fire and it will read: Check battery. It does this because the mod can't pull enough charge from the battery to give you that 50w to 60w.
Having a fully charged spare battery is very handy with these single 18650 mods. Especially when your running over 40 to 50 watts.
It isn't like a defect or anything it's just how single 18650 mods work.
You'll also want an external charger. I know it's not recommended to charge them over night but I do it anyways lol. Come home after work, change out my batteries and just before I crash out I put my drained 18650 on my nitecore charger. In the mourning I take that battery off the charger and put it a little plastic case and bring it to work just incase I have to change my battery around lunch or while I'm working. Along with a little 15ml bottle of eliquid. I hate going a full day without being able to get my nicotine lmao, never again!
If you get 2 Samsung 25r's or sony vtc4's you'll be pretty happy with the performance from the ipvd2 or the sigelei 75w tc over all.
Of course I still recommend a dual 18650 box mod like the sigelei 150w tc , snow wolf asmodus special edition( it is a revised model of the og snowwolf), or the ipv3 li, ipv3 liVR.
