I'm having problem with my batteries or 5 volt box mod cutting off all the time. Even when I'm using mad vape vv box mod it still cut off, so I turn the main power off and then back on it works again for 2 second then the same thing. I'm using 3ohm single coil cart and dual coil 1.6ohm cart from Madvape. I even use five different sets of battery that I use in rotation. Can someone help me PLEASE?

I have the same problem with the same symptoms. I am pretty sure it's "user error" since I have two vv box mods and 3 pairs of batteries. I get the same issue regardless of what combination I use. And I have tried all settings (low to high) on the vv wheel.

I have also noticed that this does not happen with a brand new carto. But it happens with cartos that work perfectly well on other devices (particularly the Mad Vapes e-Go pass thru.)

I will be interested in any ideas people may have.

I agree - this seems like I am tripping the protection circuit for the batteries. I have two pairs of Ultrafire 14500's and one pair of Trustfire 14500's. All of them appear to charge normally and test well above 4v when newly charged. Since I suspected that I was tripping the protection circuit, I have been careful to try to vape at a low voltage (i.e. wheel turned down). But this does not seem to make much difference.

As the other poster mentioned, turning the on/off switch back and forth yeilds a couple of seconds of vape. Also, brand new carto's work well for an hour or so. (I have tried both 2 and 3 ohm cartos.) After approx. 1 hour on a new carto, I get this issue. And the same carto works well for days/week or so on other devices.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Thanks for the lead. I will look at the battery connector insulation. But my guess is that my problem (and the OP's) is with protection circuits. (I have a little better luck with the pair of trustfires that I have.)

If anyone out there has experienced this issue and solved it could pass along a recommendation for an optimal resistance level for cartomizers, I'd appreciate it. I have been using Boge 3.0 and Boge 2.0 cartos.
