box mod opinions

hey guys,
I just ordered the Big Brother Vari-Cool VV box mod from Ken and wondering if anyone else has this newer mod with the switching regulator. I've built box mods with switching regulators but I don't have the knowledge to build an IC board nor do I wish to do that. I was just wondering how other people that have this particular mod are liking it. I've had my eye on the Big Brother for quite some time but he seems to have improved on it again. I don't care much much for tube mods and this box paired with a dual coil cart seems like it would be a great combo.

i just placed my order for the Big Brother Vari-Cool today from Ken and am very excited, i have always used tube mods and from what i have read and heard Ken knows his stuff and has perfected this mod. I wish i had the hands on ability to even think about trying to build a mod. Thank goodness for the ones that can and do.

I know the ole saying " to each his own " and I truly understand it. But I'm wondering how Ken should even be able to keep up with the orders that he should be totally overwhelmed with. This mod paired with the new dual coils seems to me to be the closest to a perfect setup that I could imagine having. It has better heat dissipation (or control) with the switching regulator compared to the linear (which I have also built). It has variable voltage to handle just about any attie, carto or tank made. It's just about as small and inconspicuous as any mod made and I don't think I've read any bad reviews other than some minor problems that Ken took care of right away. This was absolutely a no brainer decision for me and I was really surprised to see that my order was sent the next day and tracking said it should be here within 3-5 days. Wow........ I couldn't even believe these things would be in stock. And I too am anxiously awaiting mine and will give a review as soon as I test it out.
Many times I've passed on buying a Reo in the classifieds. I spent my time building many many mods but it just seems odd to me that there are any on the shelf ready to go. I hated the thought of buying a mod when I can do this myself but the size and adjustability of this is beyond my capabilities and I really look forward to trying this out.

Same here, got the shipment notification this morning and couldn't beleive it, i was ready for the 7 day build period. I can't wait for next week now!!!
