Hi - just building a simple 3.7 18650 box mod which I intend to run at @8W with a 1.7 Ohm microcoil - but I would appreciate some advice on tech specs for switches. I understand P=V2/r - so 8W=3.7x3.7/1.7
and I=V/R - so my open circuit should see a max current of 3.7/1.7 = 2.17A. Does this mean that any switch should have a minimum "rating" of, say 3A? Apologies for such a novice question but I am looking at many different slide switches on ebay for my modes and most are advertised at very low amperage (0.3-0.5) ..Surely I need a low resistance switch to reduce potential heating?
I really would experience some advice, for both slide (on/off) switches and a momentary switch. Apologies if this is an old topic ..
Many thanks
Nick
