I first saw and fell in love with the Ali'i last night. Then found out how hard they are to get and how hard they are to get. So in the meantime I think I will get a wet box to try out bottom feeders.

Is the wetbox a good jump into bottom feeders?

The price of the wetbox is a lot less than the Ali'i. Is it any good? Or are there better options out there?

Thanks

that's a tricky question... the wetbox as of late hasn't been getting good reviews...
see :http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...only-wet-but-stinky-cheaply-made-rubbish.html for example

but as far as entry level bottom feeders it's really that or make your own...

all the others are about the same price as the ali'i

as for how hard it is to get the ali'i ...from what I hear ordering opens up on fridays around 5pm pacific time (so 8pm our time)... and closes again once a certain # of orders are placed...

The wetbox is the only juice feeding box mod I know of that is not almost impossible to get.
Some REOs are supposed to become available maybe tuesday.
The last time they were available was 11/5 and they sold out in 20 minutes while the web site was crashing continuously. Good luck getting one, you'll need it.

Here is my .02. The wetbox is roughly the same price as a carton of smokes depending on where you live. If it lasts you longer than the carton would have, and kept you from smoking analogs, then it served its purpose and is worth the price. I have used mine for over a month and it has paid for itself 3 times over already. Is it made of cheap components? Yes. Is it easy to flood if your not careful? Yes. If you are mechanically inclined, could you make one for 1/5th the price? Yes. Does it work as advertised? Yes. Will it survive a 6 foot fall onto a hard floor? Probably not. As long as you take care of it and follow the tips and tricks on ECF, you should have no problems with it. I am not a paid spokesman, it just works as advertised. Thats why I defend it.

I love my wetbox and dont understand all the negative about it. Mine works perfectly and I use it hard. I think most problems are with people trying to use them with attys and flooding them then shorting out the switch. I have never had mine leak and I use a bottle a day. I have found that the lr cartos work great on it and am very happy. Get one from Bruce at COV and he will take care of you in case you have any problems or questions.

The wetbox is an inexpensive start. It is made of plastic and takes a 14500 battery. I have one with KR8088 threads but you could get it with 510 threads. It works fine with the carto, (atty's are not recommended) just not a power vape is all. I have not had any problems with mine. I agree, Bruce at COV is great! If you are looking for a power vape, do yourself a favor, order the Ali'i or the REO. They are both well made units and are created by fantastic people! Well worth the wait for their creation. I have an Ali'i and my boyfriend has the Journeyman - hand crafted works of art. I will be getting a few REOs next (we work outdoors and I'm worried about my Ali'i getting damaged). Hope this helps.

You might want to visit the Phidias Celebration Sale thread. Fono has a few left from his run that came out Friday night. Let me see if I can find the link.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...orum/122134-phidias-celebration-sale-149.html

That's page 149 that has what is available. Post #1485 is fono's post. The thread is up to page 151 or so. If you decide you want one you have to email (not PM) fono and he will send an invoice. I love mine.

I just got my first wetbox (KR808) last Monday, and I have been thrilled with it! I have had no problems whatsoever with it.

I am like you. I am impatient and don't wanna wait for weeks to get a mod. I hope to have a REO someday, but the wetbox is doing exactly what I wanted it to do. I would recommend giving it a try!
