Okay, before I get chewed out for this, as I understand many people want everybody to stay away from the innokin MVP. I'm curious why, as well as what box mod should I get? MVP is something I could have enjoyed if it had an external battery input. I know the vtr is supposed to be okay, but I want something sleeker, or wooden. Thoughts?

First off Welcome to ECF Shields. Not sure if I'm reading that right, but the MVP2 is really a very good VV/VW box mod, not sure who is saying to stay away from them. I have one and love it, my go to device. It has a 2600mah battery built in, can be used while charging, and lasts most people ay least 1.5-2 days between charges. Good luck in your search.

Cheers,
Steve

PS TC is a great place!

Going on 3 weeks w/ my MVP2, love it so much that I have to try the VTR just to make an honest comparison between the two... I'm sure I'll end up joining the VTR as well... Not quite sure what other box mods are out there since the MVP was my 1st, but as of now I'm strictly on a innokin box mod diet!!! Enjoy your search as I'm sure you'll find exactly what your looking for, as there are a lot to choose from.. Happy vaping!!!

Don't have one, but there are several VV/VW mods out there. The only deciding factor is price. The wife as a ProVari 2.5 while I use a Reo Grand & mini. I have a Richman Hybrid coming Thursday. Also have 3 other mech mods, AC9, DUD & several others. Been vaping for 3 years now. Guess you could say I am hardware poor. LOL
Oh forgot the wife's Vamo & Vari Volt. Man that's enough. Know a guy in a town about 20 miles away that uses the MVP & he loves the thing with a Pro Tank.
Rambling over,

I have 2? The only problem I know of with them is once the battery stops taking a charge, it is landfill. Not sure how long that takes, but for $40 I didn't see a problem. The mods that take replaceable batteries that you charge separately and replace at will are interesting, more expensive and more long lasting over all. If you are new to vaping $40 isn't a huge investment and...

It's a battery, not a status symbol (runs away lol)

I just bought the MVP 2 this past Saturday and love it so far. The battery on this thing is awesome, I charged it Saturday night and it didn't need charging again till today. Four days on one charge is pretty good IMO.

Not sure who said stay away - but I wouldnt listen to those people. MVP is pretty awesome. Especially at $30 shipped (post 1101 http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals-111.html)

Wooden - Reo Woodville or maybe these The "Grip" mod

Hopefully I'll have my MVP 2 tomorrow or the next day at the latest. Also found a B&M kinda close by that I didn't knew existed. Hopefully j can hit it up on Friday to sample some juices and pick up some tanks.

Anybody know if the IBTanked products are kinda noob friendly ?

The only reason that I can think of that someone might say, "Stay away from the MVP" would be because it has a non-replaceable battery. Once the battery stops taking a charge, the entire device is a throwaway. No one knows yet how long this battery will last longivity-wise as it hasn't been on the market a full year yet (I don't believe). A very small percentage have died within this time, but common sense estimates should be at least 2 years for the majority of them. For the features & price, they can't be beat.

As far as cartotanks go, yes they are. Very well made and durable, no leaks or issues as long as you understand about cartotanks. I use them on my MVP with great results.

As everyone else has stated I'm really unsure where you heard to stay away from the MVP. The MVP is said to be an excellent mod and most users if not all users of the MVP love it. I have considered buying an MVP and I have a couple friends who have the MVP and love it. I have been looking at a box mod which is the iTaste VTR. I really really like the iTaste VTR for the build quality, looks and everything it has to offer. Of course with the VTR you have the spinning wheel at the 510 connection area which is said to cause a lot of ohm readings to be off. Innokin has fixed the issue from what they say with the wheel not able to spin. Some shops online or locally still carry only the first version with the wheel that spins freely. But there are a couple stores online that carry the version that Innokin has fixed the wheel from spinning. From what I have heard the fix to wheel not spinning has resolved the ohm issue.

So I am unsure if you were maybe referring the VTR instead of the MVP. Yes some people have said to stay away from the VTR because of this spinning wheel which over time throws the ohm readings off. So if you would like for the ohm readings to not be throwed off then choose the updated version of the VTR with the wheel that is stationary and no longer spins. Best way to find the VTR without the spinning wheel is to contact some shops online that you are interested in buying the VTR from and asking which version they have available to ship.

I plan on my next mod to be the iTaste VTR but the updated version without the spinning wheel connection because I don't want my ohms jumping all over the place and I want the device to function properly for a pretty good time.

The VTR will be my first mod as I currently am using a ego style with a mini protank 2 and its a great little setup but I would like a lot more to be offered. I plan on buying the iTaste VTR this Friday coming up :D

I hope this might of helped and if not sorry

Yes, I have heard the iTaste MVP is an awesome device as well. I actually went a step up(if you can call it that) from the MVP and purchased an iTaste VTR this week. I couldn't be happier with a device! So...I say-don't listen to whomever told you that. MVPs have always gotten rave reviews. I know ppl who own provari and LOVE their Innokin devices!!
