Brain Fart!!!

Okay, my kit came in the mail today. YAY!!!!! But my phone also crashed, causing me to have to buy a new one. I have to many things running through my head at the moment to remember where to begin. Crap! I have the first of two batteries charging. 4 hrs right? I have removed the empty (really empty, no filler. PTB mod coming up ) from the attys. I know I should clean them out. So what method for a brand new atty? Blow it out. Rinse? Then what? Not that there's a good day for a $450 phone to go all blinky and quit working, but I think this is the worst day it could have happened. Frick on a stick, I can't get my brain to function. HELP!!

Also, is there a way to give someone kudos or something when they are super helpful? I would like to be able to do that if it's possible on this board.

Deep breaths daisy, this too shall pass. Just blow out the atty and then don't inhale the first few puffs. Let the nic do it's work.

I just blow the atty out and if u rinse be sure to dry well, i didnt rinse, just dripped a couple drops of a juice on it and dont inhale the first draws till it tastes right....

Then knock yourself out! (dont do that)

Blow it out and don't rinse. If you have liquid put a few drops right onto the bridge in the atty. (the silver thing) After a bit it will taste the way it's supposed to and then you are good to go. Once the battery charger light turns green you are good to go, on that end.

Okay, in out, in out. Better. The light on the usb charger turned green right away. Aren't I supposed to leave it for a while so I don't shorten the life of the battery? I will just blow the attys out really well and drip 2? drops on the bridge.
The phone was a Touch Pro, now it's a Samsung Omnia II. Pretty cool phone. Hard to get excited about when I'm spending money I shouldn't have to though. Blah on that, yay for e-cig.

The batts may be pre- charged. I'd say go for it. Sounds like you need it. That 4 hour charge thing is debatable. Maybe they pre charged it for 4 hours. Who knows.

Yeah, 2 drips should prime the atty OK. maybe 3 but no more. Don't want to flood it right off the bat.

One more question. When you're not using it, but still has juice, do you separate batt from atty? Or just leave it?

I just leave it. At night I take the cart off and blow out the atty and leave it cart side down on a paper towel to drain over night. Some people don't though. I think it helps the attys last longer.

BTW the best way to kill any atty is to try to wash it or clean it. When yours starts to get a bit sluggish (as they all do) just blow from the end that screws in to the battery onto a bit of paper/kitchen towel/your carpet for a while. You'll get red cheeks and feel like a jazz trumpeter, but keep going. Then add one drop to the atty and fire up. You'll be just fine.

I had wondered about that. Someone posted the care instructions from Joye and it said to basically vape water (not inhale) to clean it. I think I'll stick with blowing until that doesn't work anymore on one. After that I guess it's a wash if it rinsing doesn't work.

I agree with e. I don't clean my attys anymore. I get a month average out of them and they cost less than a pack of cigs so the attys account for about 1/30 of the money I used to spend.

Yea i find that if you just started a new cart or just dripped 5 sec is way to long for me too but after a bit its about right.

I'm still getting the hang the the inhalation method and find i sometime "forget" to inhale after the draw kind of like how i smoke cigars. Although i think when i do that i get more of the flavor since the vapor is sitting in my mouth and i kind of do the short puff thing on the exhale like a cigar too. Hard to explain but if you've ever smoked a cigar you should know what i'm talking about.

The "cigar thing" that you're talking about is just right. Vape on any e-device like a bad day on B & H and it WILL misbehave. They require more respect, a bit like a good pipe...

The fiddling about iwth it aspect is very pipe like too and yes I agree with the others - don't wash it - mine die after a wash for sure; I drip, I blow out, I live it large lol
Any primer taste that didn't come out with a blow will go away eventually - just grit your teeth and get through it as fast as pos then on to flavors! Good luck!
