Brain Transplant!

In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where a
family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking
tired and somber.
'I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news,' he said as he surveyed the
worried faces. 'The only hope left for your loved one at this time is
a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky, but
it is the only hope. insurance will cover the procedure, but you will
have to pay for the BRAIN.'

The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a time,
someone asked, 'How much will a brain cost?'

The doctor quickly responded, '$5,000 for a Democrat's brain; $200 for
a Republican's brain.'..standard pricing procedure!!

The moment turned awkward. Some of the Democrats actually had to 'try'
to not smile, avoiding eye contact with the Republicans. A man unable
to control his curiosity, finally blurted out the question everyone
wanted to ask, 'Why is the Democrats brain so much more than a
Republicans brain?'

The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the
entire group, 'It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to price
the Republicans brains a lot lower because they've been used.'

If this should be 'Outside'...please move it.

If you search the web, you'll likely find the exact same joke with the parties reversed. Very common in political jokes.

Here's the same joke in the male v. female mode:
Standard Pricing Procedure : Funny Jokes

These kinds of jokes can be used with whatever X v. V you want ... cats v. dogs anyone? LOL

Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in the dictionary?
I believe that quote was started by an extremely gullible person who did not own a dictionary.

Gullible - Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Define Gullible

And it certainly is well defined in many sources, as well as Webster's Dictionary.
Gullibility is a failure of social intelligence in which a person is easily tricked or manipulated into an ill-advised course of action. It is closely related to credulity, which is the tendency to believe unlikely propositions that are unsupported by evidence.

Your signature line is nonsensical.

It's called humor.

If you must analyze it, consider what a person is if they even momentarily believe the statement.
Yes, when I got to work this morning it dawned on me that I'd been had. I blame my inability to see the "humor" on the late hour and a few beers. Plus, I was being just a bit dense. :p
