brand new authentic kraken mod will not snap shut need help

So i received my authentic VA stainless kraken today and i physically can not snap it closed its about 1/8 of an inch from snapping all the way in!!! idk if i should send it back or am i doing something wrong? i feel like its wasn't milled down all the way! i put huge amounts of pressure on it a few times figured it was brand new but nope nothing! i tried lubing the o rings i have no idea besides i think it was milled to short?

the kraken clicks when you close it and I can't get it to click if it isn't mounted.
