So I just upgraded my vape-experience and decided to buy the eVic kit at my local vape store, after my 2nd Vision Spinner busted last night. I've only had it for about a half hour and I'm already finding a couple small problems with it, I ended up using my cig-a-like on the drive home.
.... The first thing I noticed is that when I screwed on my T2 clearo (ProTank was at home), the draw is incredibly tight unless I loosen it a decent amount, which in turn makes the T2 wobble a bit when screwed onto my eVic.. For what I payed, I feel like the threading and build should be perfect! It seems like the Ego-threading on the outside may be a little bit off..
:?:
I also wanted to get the kit with a black-tube, but was told the kit only came in the silver color - although I can buy the black battery tube to replace it for only $15; so not too big a deal. But DiscountVapers offered the kit in black, online.. And one more; the thing is just too darn big, heavy, and visually noticeable!! Hopefully I get used to this lol, especially in public..

I did get lucky with the purchase - instead of ordering online like I planned too, and waiting/paying for shipping, I found a local vape-store that sold the kit for the same price ($104). And a customer in the store happened to also have an eVic and decided to give me a quick run-down on the shortcuts and such; that was definitely nice!!

I hate to be the guy that 'sweats the small stuff', and I know this battery has a lott to offer with firmware and such; but I feel like the build, threading, etc should be perfect for what I payed! Thanks in advance for any feedback you guys can offer.. should I maybe return it?

I also just noticed that underneath the metal top-cover (the metal piece that screws on, right above the button/screen), the o-ring just underneath it seems a little uneven. I can see a wave in the o-ring right near my display screen.

And when I screw my T2 all the way down, the draw is soo tight that I can hardly get any air/vapor through at all - I realllly have to pull to get the smallest amount of air through.. I know this can't be right, there must be something wrong with the EGO-threading on the outside. Or is everybody else's eVic like this?

Wondering if I should call the store I got it from (less than an hour out of the box), maybe try to return it?? Thanks guys

Thanks for the quick reply, JKuro! I hope I didn't mess something up after less than an hour of use..
I made sure not to over-tighten my T2 or to screw it on with too much pressure. But I did screw it all the way down until it stopped, just as I always do with every other battery - wouldn't it make sense to screw it all the way down so it's flush with the battery, instead of having it wobble a bit on my eVic when it's loosened a tad?

I also tried a different T2 clearo all together and I'm still getting the same tight-drag when screwed all the way down, so I don't think it's the T2 itself.

Once you adapt to the eVic, it's really a great APV. I love my two. I keep saying that my MVP is my "away from home" APV, but I find myself taking the eVic around town lately.

If you still really think it's too big, get a shorty tube and a good 18350 battery. The have the short tubes in black too. This is where I got mine, along with an efest battery:

Genuine Joyetech/Anyvape eVic/eGo-T 18350 Battery MOD short tube

Don't get the "generic black" ($2 cheaper). It works, but it looks pretty cheesy and cheap. I think the anyvapes look better.

Thanks dash and mogium, I will most likely try to return it if this is a problem that most eVic-users don't have (with the tight draw). I was just using these T2's on my Vision Spinner last night and neither had a tight drag in the slightest before, tried on a few different batteries. The size and weight of the battery, I'm sure I'll get used to that..

It's just pretty disappointing that I shelled out $120 for a fancy new battery (that's suppose to be one of the best), and I instantly notice this problem and may have to call the store I got it from, an hour after purchase.. At least I didn't get it online

Thanks MsComp! I'm already getting used to the size and heavier weight so that's not really an issue.. The thing is, I still use these T2's pretty often, and don't appreciate that they will wobble a bit on my brand new fancy +$100 APV if I want them to drag correctly.. I've never had a tight draw from them on any other battery unless the coils or airholes were clogged or something..

The airflow issue is most likely your clearo. Your evic deserves a better delivery device anyway :p I have found the eVic to have awesome air flow with all kinds of different delivery devices. As far as the size I would suggest either going 18350 or using a different device out and about. I was originally frustrated with a few things with the evic (i.e. rattly selector ring) as well but you will learn after a week or so those frustrations will just fade away. It is a great all day device. Good choice and enjoy the eVic :)

No, you didnt hurt anything, but it can make the connection with the T2 inconsistent. All I use to use were T2s, but now iclear16 and back to vivi novas. The T2 normally has a tighter draw then T3s, evods, etc which I prefer. The T2 has 2 small air holes at the base, but go right through the threads, so if you tighten it down too much you will cover those holes.
It is possible that the ego cone thread sleeve is not pressed far down enough on your evic. Try another evic to compare.

Thanks ChadGio and JKuro!

I did just notice that one of my T2's has a tighter draw than the other, but only on my eVic; when attached to my Spinner the draw is the same for both T2's (not too tight or too airy, just right).. I've never noticed the T2's having a tight draw with any other battery (Spinner, Ego-T, Ego-Twist).
... The T2's were the 1st clearo I tried and still one of my favorites because of how consistent they are, the wicks/coils last much longer than my ProTank coils (1-3 weeks instead of 2-5 days - if this wasn't a fact I'd only be using my ProTank) and they give great amounts of vapor and flavor.. If I knew a bunch of people with eVic's I'd definitely compare hah, but my only friend who has one just moved across country.

Chad - haha I agree with you about the delivery device!! I plan to mainly use my ProTank with my eVic (and damn do they look sexy together! A match made in heaven lol).. I would only be using the Protank if the coils for them lasted longer (mine seem to go to crap after 2-3 days; big decrease in flavor and vapor amount).. In addition to my T2 and (my 2nd) PT, I also have an iClear30, a T3, a knock-off Nova, a 510 atty, and a few low-res 510 cartos.

With a fresh new coil, the ProTank gives me excellent flavor and huge thick clouds of vapor (both better than T2), but this only lasts a day or 2 before I need to change out the coil. My T2's also give me pretty good flavor and pretty nice vapor clouds, not as good as the PT but the coils last much longer
^^ I'm predicting that once I figure out my eVic; and maybe change the settings to my perfect preferences so it drops in voltage/wattage after a couple seconds of dragging, that my Protank coils will last much longer!

Thanks everyone, keep your input coming!

Just noticed another thing.. The eVic kit says that it comes with one 2600mah rechargeable battery (even says this on the box), but my battery appears to be a 18650?? It a pink colored Samsung 18650, am I confused or did they put the wrong battery in my kit?

EDIT: My apologies lol. I immediately noticed that these 2 numbers are different on the battery, I guess it's a 2600mah 18650 battery. This is 1st day using a mod/APV so bear with me! lol

I got my self a black generic 18350 battery tube and it looks great with the black tail cap. Plus I am not really into branding so this is great.

Also, $104. Nowadays is kind of a rip off. You could scoop these up for like $75 brand new and shipped. This is a great unit, and mine is flawless but I wouldn't of paid 104.00 for it. Just saying..

I got my eVic today. It was around $70 where I ordered it from. As for the Kanger T2 clearomizer I have on it, it is a tighter draw than I am used to. I plan on using my vivi nova v3 and protank on it. For now, I had juice in my T2 that was on my MVP, so I put it on to try it. The vivi nova v3 and protank both look beautiful on it, though. Also, the eVic seems lighter than my iTaste MVP! I just have to figure out how to shut the eVic down. I'm going to look at the user manual shortly, that is, if I can read it with my reading glasses. I used MVR to set it up, though. It came 50% charged and didn't take very long to get up to 100%.

Look up the Joye tech web site, and download the manual online, that is what I did, I got tired of using a magnifing glass to read that manual, then you can just zoom in on the image so you can read it.

I have noticed that the MVP hits harder than the eVic too - s'ok, I don't always like to be hit hard
