Hi folks, I'm a new convert! I have been analog free for 3+ weeks since receiving my starter kit at the end of January. I just learned that I'm not able to post in any other forums until I've made several posts here (arggghhh).
I have not run into any other e-cig users locally, nor has anyone even heard of them. I only heard about e-cigs at the end of December while I was searching Craig's List buy and sell for camera accessories and came across an add. It piqued my curiousity enough that I began a google search. Intrigued, I ended up staying up half the night watching youtube videos of e-cig testimonials, lol.
Needless to say, I began to search for places that I might be able to get myself a kit. I even phoned a few local smoke shops to find out if they carried them, heard of them or knew where I could find them locally -- no one knew anything.
In the meantime, I mentioned my new curiousity to a friend in W.Va during a phone conversation....she had never heard of them either but our conversation led her to also do a google search. About 2 weeks later, she sent me an email explaining how she had found a local retailer and bought herself a starter kit and was now smoke free!!
I finally found an online dealer with an affordable starter kit who had successfully dealt with Canadian customers without problems (my concern was ordering the nic cartridges and having them seized at the border). So, I now have my starter kit which is a two part model (SmokeTip) brand (which I believe, just from my research, is a KR808...someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong), that came with two life-time warranteed batteries, a USB charger, wall adapter, and 6 prefilled (nic) cartridges. I also ordered a pkg. of 10 extra cartridges. I received all of this on the 26th of January and have been completely analog-free since the 29th of January (yay me!).
My problem now is that I've been reading quite a bit about the different models available and am wondering if the model I have maybe isn't the best since it is 'automatic' as opposed to the manual push-button types. My friend (who I mentioned above) has tried 3 different types since starting a couple of weeks before me...but, she is in the US where availability seems to be greater. Nontheless, I am in desperate need of replacement cartridges and at the start of this week, placed a replacement order for pre-filled cartridges from the same place that I ordered my kit, along with extra batteries (black with blue led) and an extra USB charger. I have saved all of my used cartridges and very recently figured out how to take the end cap off of them in order to refill them. They don't offer blank cartridges at all and their flavors seem to be very limited.
The other day (after I ordered my replacement cartridges), I found a Canadian supplier/distributor of e-juice and ordered a couple of 30ml bottles...can't wait to try out these flavours!!!
My question now is, can anyone on these forums confirm for me which model "Smoke-Tip" is? If I want to order blank cartomizers, I need to know which model, right...and I also need to know where I can order them from to make sure that I am getting the right one for my model. Can someone help or direct me to the corrent forum where I can find that info?
