Just checking in with everyone. I'm in my fifth or sixth month of the vaping culture, couldn't be happier. Just graduated to my first mech mod and have lots of questions. Can't wait to tap into the knowledge available here.
Hi and welcome. Have a care with that mech, they aren't kidding about the "experienced user" thing. Fire away with your questions. What mech do you have?
I got the noisy cricket, I always check the ohms on my build by screwing my deck on my ipv d2. I'm using a twisted messes rda, 9 wraps with .22 wire comes in at .21 ohms. How would you suggest I build for a cooler vape?
@OnMyWay311 Hello and welcome to the forums!!!! Glad you got off the stinkies. As far as mech mods go, you need to read up on safety first. Here is a great read for you. (18) Baditude's Blogs | E-Cigarette Forum Hope it helps.
Thank you all for your concern, I did about a weeks worth of research before I made the decision to get a mech. Safety will stay at the front of my mind when using this device. No carrying in my pocket, always check my builds and do the math.

Ouch! A Noisy Cricket is a series mod. At full charge on those batteries, and using a .22Ω coil, you are drawing 38+ amps. Never, never build a Noisy Cricket below .5Ω, and .6 or .7 would be a lot safer. Don't push the fire button even one more time before you rebuild; it's a miracle it hasn't blown up in your hand already. And be very careful to make sure there is good clearance in the topper positive pin from the negative 510 threads. That's also a faux hybrid mod, and it's very easy to get a hard short at the battery positive contact.
