brand new Smok VCT A1 not working

Man, I just bought the new smok vct A1 and it won't work.I keep get getting "check atomizer" The thing is brand new. Came with two coils... tried both, still nothing.
And its not my Dovpo mini 50w...Cuz it works great with my aspire atomizer. i don't get it, please help

Hi Jay. Sounds like a connection issue. The first thing I would check is the 510 connection on both the tank and the mod. Clean if necessary. I am unfamiliar with the Dovpo, do you have another mod you can try it on? Or perhaps an ohm meter where you can see if it reads?

I haven't a clue unless both coils are shorted...

could be an internal short, only way to check that is if you can see the solder joints
