Hi all; I'm 50, from Denison, TX; bishop in a church here. I have been an avid cigar aficionado for 15 years (and frequent hookah smoker), and have just discovered ecigs. I have two or three questions...

1. Where do I start? Anyone recommend a good ecig for me?
2. Is there an e-cigar that actually tastes like a GOOD cigar?
3. What about all the flavors? My wife smokes cloves sometimes.

Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you!

Welcome, Ken! There is a great thread stickied at the top of the forum, containing tons of valuable information, pros and cons of each type, well worth the time to read: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...strated-guide-e-cigs-parts-1-through-6-a.html

I had just seen this thread recently where e-cigars were being discussed - perhaps you can send a PM to one of these guys to get a recommendation:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/53536-need-good-e-cigar.html

I know some users in the Vapor4Life forum were former clove smokers, so perhaps you can get some good feedback from one of them: Vapor4Life - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

Best of luck!

If you want the simplest 2-piece-cig then look for a KR808D-1 kit a.k.a Vapor King from Vapor4Life and a load of other aliases.. a 3-piece like the 510 which will get recommended is alright if you want to mess with extra maintainence like fiddling with atomizers, but now that the 2-piece has decent performing batterys and powerful ones like the XL's it kinda pushes the 510 away further. There are over 50 flavors available off the bat prefilled and you can fill your carts with others if you wish, but it's not a neccessity with a 2-piece, it's usually for the penny pichers.

As far as the cigar flavors go, there is a good king cuban cigar flavor available for the e-cigs, i'm not really into them and i even like the flavor...

There is a disposable e-cigar which Nhaler sells by greenworld that i've seen quite a few people giving props to it, its 28 bux i think, and you get around 1500 puffs of of it. If you want a proper e-cigar kit they are available but expect to pay over 100 bux for one.

Wow, Pianoguy - thanks for all the suggestions...I'm going to check out your links. Thanks again.

My pleasure - hope you find lots of useful info there.

I went with the Vapor King from Vapor4Life (a KR808D-1) and have been extremely pleased with it, and also with the company. I wanted something simple that worked out of the box, knowing that my wife in particular wasn't going to be interested in fussy equipment. It has worked really well for both of us. Vapor4Life is just one of many reputable suppliers out there, but if you spend some time in their sub-forum, you will see that they have a very loyal following.

There are a lot of choices, and as mentioned, the 510 is also very popular, and there are several others to consider as well. Do some background reading, browse threads to see what kind of problems/likes/dislikes people have with the various models, and you'll find something that is just right for you.

Ecigs:
Matte black Joye510 kit with 2 manual e-cigs - Starter kit - Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier=

The most popular model at a good price. You could get them stateside but I direct you there because of this:

RUYAN disposable e-cigar - Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier=

... the best tasting ecigar I've tried and it is really good!

ejuice:
30ml original E-juice with 20 popular flavors - E-juice - Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier=

Try the Black DJ clove and the Cuban Cigar flavors. Hilton, RY4, Kent, 555 are good tobacco flavors and the Peach goes good with the cuban cigar - just add a few drops on a refill.

Since shipping (do the EMS not the airmail) costs $15 it's a good idea to grab other stuff like mega batts for the 510:

MANUAL Mega BATTERY for Joye510 Matte black - Spare parts - Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier=

2 attys for every ecig is a good idea:
Matte black atomizer for Joye510 mini e-cig - Spare parts - Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier=

Yes, the single logo...as for MG strength - I ordered "0" - I don't have a nicotine craving, and don't need to start one. But I'm really looking forward to this new hobby!

Well that's gonna be easier for you than most people then lol, you got nothing to worry about :D Make sure you visit the vapor4life subforum if you got any questions or need help with anything, there is a whole bunch of us over there who can help you.

I ordered from vapor4life.com; got a couple of regular vapor kings (auto), a USB passthrough, and a mini (for my wife), along with cases, chargers, etc., and sampling of various cartridges, including Cuban Cigar (seeing I've smoked cigars for 15 years). Should be interesting. Hoping I get them in the next couple of days.

That cuban cigar is a very good flavor. Only thing I can't get the vapor out of the cartomizers like I can out of a 510 atty. But it will be a good starter for you. The cafe mocha frap is also good with a bit better vapor.
