Greetings all,

Just wanted to say hello and express how happy I am to have found this forum as I am wanting to purchase my first e-Cig and had tons of questions that I haven't really found the answers to. I smoke Kretek cigarettes (clove) daily and I am avid Hookah user. I am interested in replacing both my cloves and my Hookah with a good e-Cig. I have already located clove flavored "ejuice" and have read that it is pretty close to the real thing. With that being said I am looking for a few characteristics in an e-Cig and am hoping this community can points me in the right direction.

- I am looking for the highest possible amount of "smoke" or vapor
- I am not really concerned with the shape, color, or size, I am however looking to stay within the size of a medium sized cigar
- I am not very concerned with battery life as my first unit will most likely remain at home or in my truck.

Thanks to everyone in advance, your help with this is GREATLY appreciated !!!!

Hey Lost. I'm up the road from you here on the Treasure Coast. Welcome to ECF.
I use a Kgo 3.7 volt 1100 mah battery. Size of a sharpie. Lasts all day before it needs a recharge.
I got 2 of them in a kit for $43. They finally died after 8 monhs constant usage. So i purchased 2 more of the batteries only. Cost $17.99 each.
Keeps me off the analogs.

Thanks for the welcome !! Hope the weather is as good up there as is it down here !

Sorry if I'm not understanding, but the one you're recommending is a complete unit or do I purchase that battery and the other pieces separately ?

You can get a Kgo kit at Hoosiers Ecig Supply (a trusted vendor here)
The kit will have 2 batteries, a charger & some cartos or clearos. Then all you need is your juice.
I was just mentioning how good the batteries are in that kit. But you will need a kit to start off.

So I'm about to place my first order but I am not sure what I 'm looking at. There are two that I have in mind. One says first gen, and the other looks like a second gen, not sure what the difference is.

Well, the batteries in those kits are the same. The difference is in the juice-feed system. The original kit has atomizers & cartridges. That's kinda old fashioned. There are better systems today. I personally use cartomizers.
The 2nd generation kit has some sort of clearomizer system. You might want to try that.
Whichever kit you buy, I would recommend getting a 5-pack of Boge LR 2.0 single coil cartomizers.
That way you will be able to try different juice delivery systems & see what you like best.

You are referring to this, correct ?
Boge Cartomizers

and once I purchase this 5 pack and the kit, these cartomizers screw onto the battery that came with my kit, am I right ?

Thanks again for the help !!!

Yep. Those are the ones alrighty.
Make sure you choose the LR 2.0 ohm ones under the "Style" drop-down box. They will give you a decent vape.
Now you're good to go!!
Keep us informed of your progress & have a cup of Cuban coffee for me at The Versailles!!

Hi Iostreamz. Greetings from Boca Raton, Fl and welcome to ECF. :DCongrats on your decision to go smoke free. You won't regret it. Once you get started I'm sure you'll find that there are quite a lot of great tasting ejuices out there in addition to your favorite clove flavor. I would suggest experimenting with some different setups and mods to see what you like best.

If you want the most vapor, a variable voltage device, like a Provari, will give you higher voltage options which is preferable in some setups and for some ejuices. I quit analogs a little over 5 months ago and I've been playing and experimenting with a lot of stuff in the e-cig world since then. Atomizers, cartomizers, tanks, mods, rebuildables, etc.

So far my preferred mods are the tube mods that take 18650 or 18350 batteries. They are a little bit bigger than the cigar size you mentioned but not cumbersome at all in my opinion. I like the 18650's for the really long vape times between charges and I like the 18350's for smaller, more compact mods like the Lava Tube Mini and the Telescope. I included a pic to show you an comparison of what some of the different size mods look like side by side. GOOD LUCK and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Welcome from Ft. Lauderdale.

Ego starter kits are awesome, as is a variable voltage like a Provari. My wife and I purchased both and are loving it. Haven't touched or thought of smoking a real cig.

We also puchased Vivi Nova tanks, and have been experimenting with different juices (menthol, black cherry, strawberry, mango, etc)

happy vaping and congrats!!!
