Hi guys! I'm a super noob here, this is my first post. :) When I say super noob I really mean it. I just got my very first vape pen today! I do not have any juices yet, but i have some questions!
So, I got a starter pack. It came with two Ego-T 1300mah batteries, 2 CE4 clearomizers, a charger and a needle dropper bottle. All for $25! I like to think that I got a good deal. ;D
Okay, on to my questions.

1) I'm considering getting a Protank 2 to start off because it comes with 2 new coils.. (heads?) and you can also rebuild them! Would a protank work well with my Ego-T Battery? Also, are Protanks good? I'm on a pretty small budget right now, and i really like the price on them!

2) I am a huge DIY'er and I'm trying to start out using 0-mg liquid. I've read about just using glycerin and LorAnn Flavorings. Is this a good idea? Or should I just suck it up and buy some liquid before I start playing chemist? haha

Any help is appreciated, thank you guys so much!! :D

For 1, yes it would work. You'd need to use the "Beauty Ring" that comes with the PT, but I used a PT2 with an eGo-style battery for about a month before I bought my MVP2. It will make it a bit top heavy, so be aware of that.

Yes, you are correct that the coils are also referred to as heads (among other names).

For 2, I'm sure the good DIY folks will chime in soon. You might want to try out some juices first before you jump right into DIY, but that's just my opinion. I've finally settled on a couple that I quite like that are cheap enough that I'm not worried about replicating them via DIY...yet...

Hi and welcome.

You can use a PT on your set up - but like liquidzoo stated - it will be a lil top heavy. No big deal as long as you're aware.

As far as DIY - there are many brands of flavoring and you have to use USP PG/VG. You would probably be best off to experiment with flavors and pg/vg ratios from vendors to nail down the best ratio for you and which flavors you prefer in vapor form while perusing the DIY forum here...then moving into DIY.

Some known Tank crackers are citrus, cinnamon, cherry, rootbeer/cola, and apple. You will not need to be concerned with these with a PT as it is pyrex as opposed to plastic.

Just my :2c:

Thank you! I've heard that fruity juices cause the little plastic clearomizers to crack easily, so I'm a little scared to try anything! But, I guess i just need to suck it up and experiment.

Some can, yes. Big culprits from what I've read seem to be those strong in citrus, cinnamon, and/or banana (which surprised me).

Most juice vendors have a list or a warning on juices that have been reported to crack tanks.

That said, only some plastics seem to be affected. Polycarbonate mostly as polypropylene is supposed to be more resistant.

If you are set on protank I suggest protank mini 2. It will be more stream line than full size and less top heavy. I recommend the aspire it is duel coil, comes with 3 atties n cost bout $20 and performs better, don't think you can rebuild though. You should prob start out buying juice, you can find good ones high on the vg if that's what you looking for.

Definitely get a new tank the ce4 is junk. The protank 2 is a good choice, it will make you rig a bit top heavy. I also like the ismoka mega, it's plastic so not so heavy. The ismoka can/will crack depending on what juice you use. You can view them here:Tanks
I personally use both tanks. Have a protank 2 on my mvp and a ismoka mini on my ego 900mah.

I was just looking at the PT mini 2. Considering getting it instead of the bigger PT2. By change, Do you know if the mini has the same heads as the PT2? Like.. the same size? I'm really stuck on rebuilding for some reason haha

They use the same coils. My wife has a PT2-Mini where I have the full size and they are absolutely interchangeable.

This is as top-heavy as it gets -- an eGO-C 400mAh battery and a ProTank II.
