Hi everyone! I've been a smoker for the better part of 25 yrs, just recently quit an switched to dip and snus, but it is very expensive here in Canada and the snus selection is limited.
I've been interested in e-cigs for a long while, so today I took the plunge. My office is a 5 min drive from a store called Canada E juice.
The selection was overwhelming, but I settled on a starter kit that included a KangerTech EVOD, it was described to me as a good entry level, it came with a free bottle of juice and I picked up an additional bottle, the package cost me 60 bucks. I could spend that in a week on dip or snus! So I feel I'm ahead of the game already. Apparently each bottle is close to the equivalent of a carton of smokes, we'll see about that.
All in all, happy so far, aside from dumping my full clearomizer on my lap while swapping out my battery. Quick lesson learned!

Anyhow, great to be here and looks like I've got lots of info to search through here.

Welcome to Vaping Gruven75!! Quit myself only 4 weeks ago! I have had a couple smokes as I work towards being SMOKE FREE, but have to say its amazing to BREATH again!

Montreal has a great selection of stuff, not sure about the rest of canada, but here its pretty on par for prices!

Good luck in your new hobby and health choices!!

Welcome!

I like the Kanger EVOD starter kit and bought one as a backup to my main devices. Great starter kit IMO.

As far as the juice being equivalent to a carton of smokes, I doubt that is true unless those are big bottles... I have been vaping about 4-5ml a day and was a pack a day smoker for 20 years. I would imagine your bottles are 15 ml. One of those bottles lasts me about 3-4 days...

I think you would be better off buying your bottles online. I have 3 flavors and only paid $12 for them. Not sure how much a carton is in canada, but in the US, where I live is about $50-$60. That's a big difference in price if you ask me! I guess if I were to buy the same amount of bottles as packs, it would be $30-$40 for 10 bottles online!

Good move switching! I smoked cigs from the time I was 14/15 till I turned 54--finally quit by switching to snus and dip...did that for around 4 years until I found out more about this vape thing. Bought a cheap Ego starter set and haven't touched any dip, snus or burnable tobacco since. Even with a few dollars spent on upgrading my vaping devices I'm still saving money and feel much better physically as well as mentally.

I don't even vape anything that remotely taste like a tobacco product--only straight unflavored nic or my homebrew mint/menthol (from menthol crystals)
