Some may be more sensitive to metal tastes then others, though personally i don't taste anything. I have a batch of stainless steel tips in the works which you may like better, though some may find the taste of stainless undesirable. I may do up some aluminum ones too in the future, though some people don't like the "taste" of anything aluminum esp. pop cans and the like. It may come down to personal preference.

Members considering t-tips may want to take a stainless spoon, silver spoon, brass spoon (or a brass instrument tip) and an aluminum utensil and "taste" them to see which best fits them.

What i find gives the worst taste is some of the plastic tips out there. Some of them are just nasty. Plastics are notorious for leaching chemicals out of them. In the end it comes down to personal preference so you may want to experiment a bit.

I use my 510 / 901's on the cartomizers *Exclusively*

They are really nice. Makes refilling a breeze.

The only drawback is if your driving a jeep on rough terrain. There's a possibility of tooth chippage. :)

I rinse them out under warm (sometimes soapy) water between flavo / cart changes and they're everything Grimm says. :w00t:

Hmm... I'd love to see a "shorty" version that would fit on a KR808D-1 cartomizer. It would be much better than popping that little plastic cap off all the time. It would make refilling the carto a breeze, too.

Sorry if this has been posted about already. I may have skipped over it.

I'd definitely buy a few of these! :D

Do you have a pic of one of these cartomizers?

I got my 801 tip last week and love it! Any chance you could turn a few out made of delrin? I would be in for a few, any one else?

I'm glad you like them!

As far as Delrin (and for those who don't know, Delrin is just a type of plastic, as is nylon another type of plastic), Delrin and most plastics, especially when turned on the lathe, becomes quite porous and leach chemicals which produces a pretty bad plastic taste in ones mouth and probably not the safest of materials to put in ones mouth. Injection molded plastic of some type would probably work much better , but that also has its downfalls as one can only get about .25 cents each, so you'd need to make a ton of them to do it profitably.

I do have a batch of stainless steel ones in the works too if you are interested:)

Post up some pics of your Pv when you get a chance, i'd love to see it!

I check this area regularly for news, really looking forward to the SS Tips. As to injection molded.. if you do look into it do us a favor and ensure they are BPA free plastics :D

If it would help, I think most people would be willing to pay a fiver no question for the plastic tips, the 15 for brass, and 30 for steel especially if you were to throw in a few spare orings.

After all, this is a piece which can last a lifetime.

got out a new 501 atty today and my super T brass top would not for the life of me fit. I was pushing extremely hard and it just wouldn't snap in place.

Did i maybe accidently send you an 801 tip rather then a 510 tip? The only other possibility is i accidently put the bigger 801 o-ring on the 510 tip. I guess there is a third, a defective or odd ball 510 atomizer. Got any pics of the atomizer and ttipp next to each other?
