I've heard so much raving about these that when I got it I was quite dissapointed with them. The vapor is cold and feels weird in my mouth, and I can't taste the liquid quite as much. Is there a break in period? Also, i'm using the USB passthrough and i'm pretty sure that my USB port provides enough power, but how can I tell? (My computer is pretty good and also has a 500watt power supply)

Also, is there a way to hack the 5 second cutoff?

Remember, personal vaporizers are maybe 30-40% of the actual analog experience. To me, a stock PV is like smoking an ultra, ultra light analog - totally unsatisfying. You need to experiment with techniques that may increase that percentage to the point you are satisfied. A short primer puff before your regular long draw preheats the atomizer, somewhat, and can better the throat hit and vapor production.

Other techniques you may want to try include direct inhales to your lungs (sounds viscious, doesn't it?), four second draws with a brief pause followed by another four+ second draw to trick the auto cut-off, or build or buy a high-voltage vaping device. Drink lots of fluids when vaping (prefereably water or other no-calorie beverage) as this cleans the palate and makes the next draw feel stronger.
