Hey everyone i have been vaping for 2 months now. From the moment i got my first 510 i was a dripper i never used a cart. I always remove the bridge and wick from my atyy's.
It improves the dripping experience alot.
I was just wondering if this is common, does anyone else remove the bridge and wick?

If you havent tried this, you dont even know what your missing out on!

Ya know, I've tried this with a couple of attys that had taken on a foul taste and it has never worked well for me. Both atomizers are still functional, and the bad taste is gone, but I can never seem to get any consistent vapor out of them. Some times I drip and get a great hit others it just runs out the bottom and I get a nice big breath of burned yuck. I verified that I am dripping right on the coil so any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

My experience with no bridge or wick HAS BEEN AMAZING!!! I'll never use an un-modded atty again!!! I completely agree with Durk!!!

My new preference is E2 cartos from China though...and I've tried EVERYTHING!!! If you like dripping you will love these E2 cartos MORE as long as you mod the cartos with PTB. It eliminates the frequent need to drip and gives the same great flavor/TH/vapor as a bridgeless atty. It has no filler other than the wick which is partially cut out when modded (and the ptb which you add but its nothing like batting and NEVER BURNS. You can find videos on how to mod them in this way on youtube and links to the vids here on ECF. Just do a search on either website. It is TOTALLY WORTH any energy spent in getting them and modding them ($1.30 max per carto from China including shipping). I just mod one at a time so its not annoying. They last a REALLY LONG time so spending time modding it is worth every second and really is fast once you get the hang of it.

I took the bridge out of one of mine yesterday after seeing a video about it. I have so many, I didn't mind attempting it. It was not difficult. Using VG only, It seems to me like you can actually vape even longer between drips with no bridge. I can taste the juice better and it almost seems smoother too. I like it a lot.

+1 on this

I keep about 4 atty's in rotation. 2 w/bridges 2 without. Some juices taste better w/bridge(the lighter flavored ones). I find the bridgeless atty's fire a little hotter and can wash out some weaker falvors.

I like that you can switch flavs without it being muddled by the flavor you just vaped.
The only downside I've experienced going w/o the bridge... is the splattering, spitting, vapor balls that fly forth from my Super-T wide mouth drip tip from deep inside my atty... which looks cool-- but doesn't feel that way when it hits you in the face (its really minor) & it isn't something noticeable while taking a drag (most of the time).

i'll do this with atties that have taken on a bad taste and no longer perform well, and i've had mixed results with it. Some spring back to life, and with others the juice either falls right through to the battery connection or simply does not get to the coil properly, resulting in low vapor and a terrible flavor. I wouldn't recommend doing this with a new atty though, removing the wick is one thing, but taking out the bridge as well is a little too dicey.

I like the bridgeless mod too. Atty's are pretty cheap for the most part, so I wasn't too worried if I broke one. It was easier than I thought to remove it, and I haven't looked back. I still use a standard atty and cart while out, but sitting at home it's bridgeless dripping for the win! Now if my Riva and drip tip would just ship I won't have to change batteries all the time. I either need to get higher mg juice or learn to control my dripping addiction.
