On my osub plus i was using the q2 .4Ω coils and really liked them. Great flavor pretty good vapor. I see a lot of ppl say they dont like them and they burn out quick. If i used them around the 35-45w range, id get 2000-3000 puffs out of it. I went up to 50-55w on my last one n it did burn out quicker. Are 1800puffs the flavor jus wasnt there anymore. No dry hits, but the flavor was gone.

I jus picked up a couple t8 .15 coils that i seen a lot of ppl say they loved. Great flavor huge clouds. Im not having that much luck so far lol. What wattages should i try? I tried 60 at first, then down to 50 then 55. I don't care much for cloud chucking, im a flavor i hope i can get the flavor i did w the q2. Where should i set my wattage for flavor w these guys?

I vape at lower than the recommended lowest wattage first off. Secondly I have gotten into the habit of continuing to draw when I let off the power button which primes and coils the coil. I also never run the tank really low because the cotton is exposed half way up the tank. If you starve the coil for e-Liquid it will burn. Right now I am at 5,700+ but I did run the tank low and might have singed the coil. Doubt I will get 10K out of this one. Had the Alien and Baby Beast since December and only the second coil.

Ya i usually stay below the recommended wattage as well. At least with the q2's. The flavor jus doesnt seem to be there w these t8's below the recommended. Had to go up to 65w to get decent flavor.

If im refilling with the same juice, ill refill at around 1/8 of a tank since the exposed cotton goes all the way to the bottom with the q2. If im going to be switching flavor, right around an 1/8 of a tank ill tilt it and turn it so the juice goes to the cotton and ill spin it a few times so i get each of the wicking ports at least a couple times. I have so many juices, i dont usually refill with the same juice more than 2-3times.

I prob should have started these T8s with a juice i already had, but when i bought two of the T8s, i got a new juice as well and started with that. I would have got a better idea of the flavor if i tried a juice i already have, but the new juice just smelled too good not to try right away lol. I usually dont have a problem switching juices with the same coil. The first 1-2 puffs ill get the old juice and maybe a hint of the new one, 3-4 puffs ill get a slight hint of the old one but mostly the new one, 5-6 puffs after refilling ill have the full flavor of the refilled juice. I dont often get dry hits between refills unless im not paying attention to the juice level, but i still cant get them to last that long eventhough i stay under the recommended watts and dont get dry hits. I thought 2500-3000 puffs was pretty good. Id love to get 10k puffs lol

I tried 25 watts on the X4 in my baby beast and it's not for me. Way more flavour in the 45 watt range. I'm not sure if vaping them at 25 watts is a money saving thing or not but I get my coils cheap online and I usually get around 3-4 weeks out of them as I cycle 4 or 5 tanks in my rotation.

I vape at 25-30 Watts because that is where I find the best taste. It definitely isn't for money saving as I have had other members say they are expensive coils! I only spend spend the $3 or less a coil and I could care less if I installed it 2 days ago if I fry a coil I won't vape with it. I have burned a coil after a couple of hours because I accidentally fired it at 4 times the wattage. There is no saving that one!

Ya i def wouldnt sacrifice leas flavor over lasting longer. Id much rather get the full/great flavor and have it last 2 weeks over getting decent/ok flavor and have it last 3-4weeks, unless its just a tiny bit better flavor and only going to last a week. But a big difference in flavor jus to make it last a bit longer, ill pass lol.

I really like the flavor from the q2 .4Ω coils, and im happy with how long they last. I just heard that these t8's were a whole let better than the q2's.

I only got two of the T8s because the new shop i went to was way more expensive than the others i go to. Sometimes ill get a couple good puffs of good flavor after its sat for a little while, sometimes its not that great. Seems like its not wicking as fast as it should. No dry hits, jus less intense flavor at the same wattage.

Once this tank is empty, im going to poke a couple holes in exposed cotton in the wicking ports, see if that helps any.

I've tried both my baby beasts at 30 watts with different juices with different VG ratios on the X4 coils and I get hardly any flavor at all and not very much vapor. I really don't understand how you can say that's where you get the best flavor but to each his own I guess. Underpowering the coil seriously makes the tank underperform IMO.

What MOD and what batteries are you using?

I've tried it with a VTC Mini, an iStick Pico, an iStick Power and a Smok Alien. I have a combnation of Samsung 25Rs and 30Qs and some LG HG2s.

I know exactly what I'm doing so no need to question how I vape but I can't help but question your assertion on vaping the X4 coils on the Smok Baby Beast at 25-30 watts. It just doesn't work well. Period.

Taste as they say is subjective and at 30 watts I feel it starts to taste burned even with a fresh coil. I use my BB on an Alien exclusively and at normal for the wattage even going to the stronger setting I do not like. Question all you like but I am still using under 30 watts for my coils and I get great results. You also need to consider how long a hit a person takes regularly because if you take a 1-2 second puff compared to a 6-7 average like I do that vape is going to get a lot warmer.

I average 4-5 second puffs. I could probably go down to 40 watts and get a satisfying vape but I find 45 to be just right for a flavorful vape that's not too hot. I'm no cloud chaser and these tanks are the highest wattage ones I've ever used.

I obviously understand that taste is completely subjective but I really think 25 watts is seriously underpowering and basically handicapping the X4 coils

And I feel that what I run them at is perfect for me and nothing will change how I use them. To each his own and enjoy your vape.

Weird. I used a dif juice but its the same vg pg. I get consistent taste w this juice unlike the new juice. I still think the q2 had a little bit better flavor. Not enough to fuss about. This coil isnt bad though. The draw is a little tighter with the t8. All n all good flavor, decent clouds. But i really dont think its any better than the q2. Obviously its person preference, im happy with either one. The t8 obvi has a wider range, but if you're not looking to vape with higher wattage, so far i dont see other advantages over the q2.
