Broken Box Mod, Need A Part To Fix It....

The upper right corner cracked off. Subsequently, the metal battery connecter fell out. It is not connected to wires like the bottom is. Simply the metal piece, and a spring on the other side. If it doesn't eventually come up where can I find this piece?? Any brick and mortar? Some kind of electronic store/radio shack? A flashlight?? I can't imagine it should cost much or anything.

Could I break open old electronics(old remotes I don't use anymore) that use double AA batteries and try to super glue their battery connector into my mod? That's an idea I'm playing with.

If anyone has an extra, I'd be glad to take it off your hands! If of course you can spare the shipping and handing. Not starting my new job until mid-November :/

When I build my box mod, I tore apart an old CD player for my (non spring) battery terminals and used JB Weld (the "fast cure" one) to keep it in place.

I'm not sure I have the tools to get a torch and metal for welding(i welded pipes in HS plumbing so I think I catch your drift??)... but if I did that would be an excellent approach to keep it in place... forever. Thanks for verifying that old battery terminals may actually work here.

I used the KwikWeld: J-B KwikWeld | Quick-Setting Steel Reinforced Epoxy

Mix equal parts of the two tubes, apply with a small tool (I used a tooth pick), hold in place for a few minutes, then let cure for 4 - 6 hours, then you can shape it with a small file or razor, if necessary.

When cured, it is a dark gray / charcoal color, rock hard (but still shapable) and non-conductive.

Well, if it's around the house cool. If it's not more than 3$ I'll see about picking it up. Yes, I'm that broke. Thanks for clarifying I see *weld* and automatically think of eye protection gear and flames.
