Hey Punkman, Call it whatever you want to call it. Its your mod, you made it and you can call it whatever you please.

But, since all you see is people telling everyone to get a chuck that asks for advice here, I'm sure you'll get plenty of people giving you crap about the name you chose to call it!!
(Just my observations)

I do agree that the chuck is a nice mod and the fact everyone is different is very appealing, (and Yes, I have one too!) but I have seen way to many people told they need a chuck whenever they ask a question about a PV!
(once again , my observations)

Huh? How does it matter that a lot of the people that have bought a chuck have decided to recommend it?

It's a really good mod; It's cheap, reliable, and works great. I don't think we should tell people to stop talking about them because of some sort of 'fairness' to the other mods. If the other ones are awesome, people will chime in with their experiences and anyone looking for a mod can decide based on all the opinions.

Not saying you need to stop talking about them. But when every second thread in this forum turns into a chuck thread, I mean, c'mon, ............ really??.. Let people make their own decision on what the PV is for THEM, and quit cramming it down everyones throat!!

So basically this forum has become an advertisement!

How do you think the neg side of the battery is fed up to the atty?
I believe it starts with a spring that is quite substantial in size, Is this a copper spring?
And just cause it has less resistance , I highly doubt you can notice that much difference.
Keep arguing all you want, but I have just made my last post about the PV in question.
Maybe we can show the OP a little courtesy and talk about HIS mods instead of what this has turned into..

Not to mention the fact that all that extra power is fed through that teeny tiny switch. I'm not trying to take away from anything Jeff has accomplished, but damn, the Chuckleheads are getting about as opinionated as the GG'ers. I'm catching a ride with Shreck, I'm outta here.

I was writing a long response to this, but i found it too tedious. So instead...

1. hyperbole.
2. a large part of these forums, and this thread in particular, is asking for people's opinions on their mods. If no one replied talking about what the original poster asked about that would be stupid.

So basically this forum has become an advertisement![3]

3. *sigh*

Here is a picture of the mods I did this last week I don't think any of
them took me more than 45 minutes to put together. On the left is my 10 dollar chuck, I put this one together with a cheap flashlight a radio shack switch, a scavenged 510 battery connector and last but not least a little "Billy Mayes" wonder putty. That one takes a 18650 or two 16340 ultrafire protected batteries. The one on the upper right takes 3 off the shelf nimh AA rechargeables and the lower right is the standard nico stick with one 14500 ultrafire protected.

I love screwing around with this kind of stuff and I wish I had the talent to build 'em. Well, I think I have the talent but not the tools and knowhow on how to actually make things work.

The 14500 nicostick is attractive to me as a "stealth" unit- I keep futzing with the idea that a lot of folks thought when they first thought the janty 'cameo' would have a 'fully retractable atomizer'.

I think that's a smashingly good idea, that you could have a nicostick box, wired nicely with solid copper wires and you could click down on a button and have a 510 atty pop up to a solid position for vaping, then push the whole atty/cart back down into the box- pushing it down into the box would somehow automatically lock out current to the atty to keep the thing from burning up in your pocket, and if you set it down on a desk, it would just look like an anonymous electronic box of some sort. I'd buy one like that real quick like ;-)

nice work!

looks like this thread is getting off topic ... turnin out to be all about chucks lmao ......but i do have one thing to say . i just cant get it through my head ... because it has less resistance because of the copper and brass, it has better vape/volts or whatever. i dont get it, are these volts like premium volts lol like at the gas station you have regular and premium?? i would think if you have a 5-6 volt mod it would be the same thing. 6 volts goin to the atty. maybe i just have to see a pic of the internal workings to understand ..... i dunno.

BTW nice lookin pv's there punkman!!!! now you have to try some crazy off the wall ones!! lol

Looks like I need to head out to the shop and crank up the lathe and the mill and build the anti-chuck. Not taking anything away from the chuck it is probably a nice piece but it is not the end all of vaping. In fact the best mod
had not even been built yet, still a very young market.

i wonder what the anti-chuck would be.

Plain and basic design. it works at 6v or 3.7 v right out of the box. oh yeah and can be tossed out the car at 80 mph and still vape. :) personally i could care less about what a pv looks like. i want it to vape at the level i want it at. work at a level that will last all day. ah yeah would love a shotgun style on the attys.
