Dropped the Claro Walnut burl...with unhappy results.
So grabbed a piece of Buckeye burl, left a little more size everywhere.
Only 3mm of inset on bottom, still plenty of room to adjust voltage.
*note to self....Hold On To It...Dummy!!!

I am not too fond of HUT wax in applications where there is any chance of moisture. I like boiled linseed oil and CA.
Here are a few pens I made http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-apvs-models-you-found-post-them-here-18.html
I dry sand to about 600 grit and then apply about 10 or 15 coats of BOL/CA. I then wet sand through the grits from 400 to 12,000.
To apply each coat, I use folded toilet paper and drip 3 or 4 drops of BOL and about the same of CA. I then apply at about 500 rpm without accelerator.
