Buf Puf ?

I purchased the Walgreens generic brand pads. Anyone have a thought on the fact that a polyurethane binder is used in these ? Wonder if this could produce a vapor when heated ? I know people are using this for filler any feedback would be great. Thanks

Auntie Ann, this filler is the only one I use. It's simple, and as long as I don't overfill the cart, no leakage. One pad lasts forever ! I use the generic version as well (mine come from Dollar General). No discernable taste or odor from the filler for me, but I can't really comment on the binder aspect; guess I wasn't aware it was present. This filler cleans easily and retains its shape fairly well. I've been using it exclusively for about 4 months now, and my first pad is still about 2/3 of the size of the original. I just eyeball the appropriate size, cut with scissors, and stuff it in the cart. Couldn't be easier !

Thanks Bestthing, I have used this and it does work really well. Although I am still wondering about the binding agent used & any concerns I should have or things to avoid. Right now I use it in my 510, have an ego & stick do those run hotter & would this be an issue when using the buf.

The OP is not asking if it works, she is wondering about the long term safety/health issues.

I found multiple web sites talking about this substance but this one was clear and concise! Do more research if you are still concerned. My mind is at ease after reading about the chemical structure and talking to my sister about it (Majored in chemistry, minor botany).

Apparently it is used in many ECO friendly products and you should have nothing to worry about. Just don't run the cart dry would be the best advice I think.

Safe maybe considering a product's intended purpose.

How about a more specific Google search.

"Is polyurethane safe when constantly saturated with PG and subjected to temperatures which will melt plastic, then inhaled into the lungs?"
