For a mechanical mod and 20amp minimum batteries, 5wraps of 24ga @ 3mm, dual coils, pulled all the way out to the air holes (long legs) is gonna be close to .3 ohm. If you have 30amp batteries, you can go down to 4 wraps which puts you closer to .2ohm.
If you have a variable wattage device, id use the 24ga at 6-8 wraps and vape it between 40 and 75 watts, however you like it.

You did leave out an important piece of the equation, what device will you be using?

Mech mods.

Thanks guys.

I tried a dual parallel 28g build, but it was really messed up looking, and the flavor was nonexistant. I need to try something else on this. Don't remember the resistance, 0.4 I think.

Are there any dual coil 24g builds you guys would recommend? wraps and diameter? That gauge is easier for me to work with.

I'd also like to know the optimum wattage to run this atty at.

What kind of build would you all recommend to optimize a Plume Veil? I don't want to do anything too crazy, and only have 28 and 24g at the moment.

I definitely recommend this video about plume veil wicking to anyone who owns one. The guy isnt very entertaining to watch but the way he wicks the plume veil is awesome. Been wicking mine this way ever since I saw the video. Makes a world of a difference with airflow and vapor production.

(jump to around 5:30 to see him start wicking it)

I only use 24 gauge Kanthal with my Plume Veils. 2.5 mm diameter, 6 wraps comes out to around .5 ohms and I use that on my stainless steel mech. Same thing, but around 8 wraps and .7 ohms if I'm gonna put the Plume Veil on my copper mech. (.5 ohms on the stainless steel mech gives me better flavor because it compensates for the higher voltage drop - I think - dunno. It just tastes better!)

Tried several dual coil builds on my Plumes, but I didn't get a noticeable difference in flavor or vapor production over a single coil build, so now I only do single coil builds. They're easier on my batteries.
