I've been building dual coils around .6/.8 I'm wondering what will give me warm vape, around 1 to 2 second pulls. I'm using mech 18650 stingray w/ plume veil. Single coil would heat faster right? I like blowing clouds too so is it a catch 22?

I cannot say this will work for you, but my "go-to" coil for quick, warm, dense hits was a dual parallel 26ga 6 wraps around a 5/64 screw driver.

How many ohms? I try not to go lower than .4 on my builds. I'm using aw "the newer" 18650 and aw 18490 (15c) batteries

If you want a quick response time, I'd recommend 29 ga Kanthal A1. 6 wraps 1/16" tensioned contact micro coils for .5 ohms net running in dual parallel configuration.

What size rods do you have for the winder?

Kev, the one I use is a hair over 1/16" I mean just barely - like .15 mm larger. It's the second to smallest rod. It produces the perfect Tensioned contact micro coil.

That winder is insane and prolly one of the best values in vaping and surely the best (by far) coil winder available.
