Building coils

I have an Evod Kanger clearomiser and was wondering how you rebuild the coils? I always thought that once you got to that burning metal taste that the coil was just chucked away. What do I need to be able to build my own coils/fix the ones I still have lying around with that horrible burning metal taste.

You MAY have burnt out your insulator...
But to rebuild, I learned by watching RIP Trippers youtube vids on rebuilding protank atomizers (same used for evods). What I used was 28 gauge kanthal, 5/64 drill bit, and cotton. Typical tools needed are pliers, tweezers, torch, screwdrivers, and a way to measure your ohms (i.e. vv/vw device or ohms meter).
