Not sure of the juice your vaping, but don't throw the EVOD away.
In a small bowl mix a few drops of quality dish detergent ( Dawn ) with some hot water.
Let the EVOD ( after its taken apart ) , and soak for an hour.
Thoroughly rinse with water, then rebuild.
Do this as many times till its all good.
VAPE ON

The juice is Mt Baker Vapor Butter Pecan. On their web site I don't think it got one bad review so I assumed it was something I was doing. Further reading on this forum indicates that it needs more time than most to steep.

I did give the evod a quick wash with Dawn but I will do it again and soak in vinegar as required. I have already cleaned and dry burned the coil. Everything seems normal with it. Coil glows and wick is white.

Thanks for the replies.

I got the maple pecan, and it take about 3 weeks for it to come out. Soak everything in Vodka, rinse well, and put it in the back of the closer for awhile, shaking it when you remember to. (also leave the cap and dripper off for 24 hours to let it air out)
Do a search for Steeping....

Some people think it's a myth, some people thinks it's a fact, my own experience (especially with MBV that say Born On 4-days ago) is that it really makes a difference.

Wait for the juice to darken a bit.

I did change the coil and there was no difference. In fact, I'm using the same coil in another evod and the new flavor taste fine. I did notice that the "butter pecan" flavor smells "burnt" in the bottle. I'm going to let it steep for 3-4 weeks and see if it gets any better. If not, I'll just throw it out and consider it one of my "bad investments".

I'm using 3 other evods now with no problems and very happy with them. Have a 5 pack of Chinese knockoffs on the way from FastTech. USPS tracking says my coil rebuilding supplies will be here tomorrow.

I use MBV. In "vape language" it means STEEP! I have the butter pecan and let it set with the cap and the dripper off for at least a week. With MBV....it's automatic.

Burnt taste? How much current are you using? I have a 1.8 ohm @ 3.6v. It works fine in my eVOD. In fact, I'm going to order my next set of replacement heads @ 1.5.

I am happy to say that after 2 1/2 weeks steeping that it has turned into one of my favorite juices. I will reorder this probably in a 50 ml bottle. Before it "steeped" it was the worst thing I have ever tasted. Now my worst flavors are "Orange Rings" and "Eggnog". They have been steeping since 8/12 and they are worse now than when I got them. To me the Orange Ring taste like vomit and the Eggnog taste like milk that has been left in the sun for about a week. Will continue to steep and see if they get any better.
