So today i received my igo L in the mail and immediately built my first coil it is a 2.0 ohm coil and i did it with the kanthal wire that came with the igo L since i am getting my kanthal tomorrow so i'll be building a lot more, i wrapped the kanthal around a small screw driver to build the coil did about 4 wraps and it read 2 ohms so i fired it up on my VV mod and it glowed red everything seemed good, i proceeded to insert the cvs sterile cotton then put some of my favorite juice fuzion vapor's vacation. WOW this is definitely a different level of taste, i started at a low voltage and built my way up to like 4.2 and it is going perfectly so far, im quite happy with the draw too so i dont think i'll make the hole any bigger on the igo L. Just thought i'd share my experience with everyone and hopefully get some of you guys to get into the rda movement

Way to go! Dripping is a WHOLE other world, some of us never go back to tanks and clearos! I really like the Igo line of RDA's for a "first" rebuildable. Especially the -L. Easy, simple single coils, and inexpensive (without being a clone-I do NOT like the ethical issue surrounding clones, YMMV, of course).

Sounds like you're doing it right. I started off with single coils in the 1.8-2.0 range. No need to jump into crazy builds right off the start. Leads to nothing but frustration and a longer learning curve, IMO. Safe, easy (works on regulated devices is a must for a VV, like you have) and you can learn how you like your vape and adjust from there with a "regular" build like you've done. Have fun and vape on, my friend!

Did u do micro ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

i wouldn't call it a micro i just made it as thick as the small screw driver allowed me to and made sure i had enough resistance before i put it on my mod made sure the coil loops weren't touching and it is really good i think for my first one i could probably do better once i have more kanthal but the length of kanthal that came with the igo L as a freebie was not enough to try to build another coil or anything just enough for one simple coil really

yeah that's exactly why i got the igo L, honestly I dont really understand why people chase clouds to begin with. I personally enjoy a good amount of vapor but nothing really extreme I guess mostly because I like to drive and vape and I cant see myself driving while making these huge clouds some people make here with these sub ohm setups. I am quite familiar with ohms law and electronics and this is very basic stuff. I wanna get used to building coils and trying out different setups to find what's best for me but I dont plan to ever really go under 1 ohm as I dont feel like it is necessary to enjoy a good vape which I understand is relative but for me really good flavor and decent amount of vapor while having a reliable setup is what I'm mostly looking for.

Nah, RDA's can sing with "standard" ohm coils, too. I've tried lower, just because I wanted to see what it's about, but 1.0-1.5 on my mech is FABULOUS. I build for flavor. Yeah, there's some cloudage (I call it my "civilized cloud chasing" lol) that may happen. But it's all about the flavor for me, too.
