could be a lot of reasons.
what is the device "e-cig" you are vaping?
nicotine is a bit harsh on you throat. what mg/mL are you vaping?
Pure Grain Alcohol is commonly used in various e-liquids. it can feel a bit harsh on your throat. what brand and flavor are you vaping?
PG or "Propylene Glycol" also has some sensations on your throat. what is the PG/VG ratio of the e-liquid you are vaping?
when was the last time you changed the coil? does the vape feel warm or hot? does the vape taste bad?

also vaping dehydrates the body so its a good idea to drink plenty of water. but you shouldn't NEED water every couple hits, unless your chain vaping for hours on end.

Vision spinner 2 nautilus, 12 mg with 50/50 pgvg. The vape is good but then i get a burnt taste and a very harsh burning throat burn. 3 day old bdc coil, i just switched it out with a new one and the problem went away. Any idea what might be wrong with the coil/atomzier

From what I have read, it seems that a lot of people weren't happy with the original Nautilus bottom dual coils

I never used those, but I bought a Nautilus mini last month with the newer BVC (bottom vertical coils), and I've not had any trouble at all with it. Those coils also fit the larger Nautilus. You might want to consider giving the BVC coils a shot.

Thanks man I have been wondering if I should switch to bvc. And ive vaped apple rings and cinnamon roll on this atomizer today both being from mt baker vapor. And its the biggest airflow setting i think its 1.2mm

try restricting the airflow, this will help pull more e-liquid into the wick and coil. you MAY also need to turn the power down when you restrict the airflow.

all of the 5 flavors from MBV i have tried had a quite a bit of Pure Grain Alcohol in them, this could also be the problem.

I had a bad experience with the BVC coils in my nautilus. Was excited to try it, and bought one as soon as they were in stock at my local B&M. It vaped amazingly. Till it reached the end of its life span. I read these are made of a ceramic wicking material that breaks down, It has a mesh screen over the coil. A few times toward the end of its life span, I felt like I sucked in a tiny piece of something solid with my vape which was scary. Ignored that but a day later, brown ooze started seeping from the air control hole in the nautilus (It is a COMPLETELEY clear juice I had in the tank (baja blast from killerjuice, delicious!) and had never used a dark juice in this tank. Never ever had this happen before, and scared me off from the bvc. Not sure if anyone else has had a similar experience.

As far as the burning feeling, I had a few bad coils at first that caused the burnt taste/feeling from leads crossing. I watched Rip Trippers youtube vid on rebuilding the nautilus coil head (single coil rebuild). It is really easy, saves money, and a much better vape and have never experienced the burnt taste/feeling since rebuilding these coil heads.

well the "filler" / wick materal used in the mini nautilus BVC coils is very different than anything we have ever seen before. Aspire is calling it Ceramic or Fiberglass paper.
some times they call it ceramic paper other times they call it fiberglass paper. i think something is getting lost in translation, not sure though.
people say it works like a champ, excellent flavor, vapor and throat hit. some people had requested safety information about the "Ceramic or Fiberglass paper".
this is what Aspire responded with, read the PDF for more info. http://www.aspirecig.com/news/news175.html
this is only one data point, not enough to draw any real conclusions from. IMO more testing would need to be done by more than one inspection / testing company to establish what sort of potential hazards we are looking at when it comes to this "Ceramic or Fiberglass paper".
