Im having some juice burning problems on my AGA-T2, and thought I would throw it out to the forums.

It only seems to be happening on one particular juice in my rotation (Mountain Oak Vapors Legendary). I have a ~1.9 ohm coil w/ SS mesh wick (solid, not hollow) on a Silver Bullet. I cant seem to get rid of the burnt smell/taste when I vape this juice. I went through my first tank of this juice with no problems (it was tasting fantastic) until the last 10-15% of the tank when it began taking on the burnt character. I took the wick out and cleaned it in hot water, re-fired it with the torch, dry burned and gently brushed the coil, and re-inserted the wick. I triple checked for hot spots - none at all. I refilled the tank with fresh juice, and the taste/smell was still coming off burnt. The first 8-10 drags were definitely lacking flavor compared to the first tank-full, but they didnt taste burnt. Now, it is back to the burnt-ness.

Ideas?

Legendary is one of my favorite flavors, and I've run several tanks through my AGA with no issues. Though I wouldn't pretend to be an expert, it sounds like poor wicking to me. Legendary is fairly thick, maybe a more open mesh would help. I'm running 325 with a moderately tight roll.

I will give it a try with 325. When I switched from MOV RY4 to Legendary (without changing a thing) it initially had GREAT flavor. Then it tapered off and started tasting harsh. Now I can't get the flavor back! I rolled a new wick/coil last night after my first post to see if that helped....nope. I had the coil pretty perfect, then forgot to cut the wick down before putting the top cap on the AGA and squished it. D'OH. I reset the coil, but the wick has a small kink in it down in the tank. Think that will affect the wicking?

Have you ever noticed how these 'Pros' vape?

This clown was raving/demonstrating about how good 500 mesh wicks in this screen shot.

It's hard to tell if they are vaping their juice or drinking it. :)

Coils love juice, the genesis lean is certainly not a bad idea. However, you shouldn't have to hold it horizontally all the time.

semper, perhaps dipping a qtip in some alcohol and giving that center column a good clean would help.
Do you have the fill screw screwed in? It took me a while to figure out that this was creating hot spots with the cap on and now I leave out all fill screws and plugs in my devices. Apparently the airflow is super important. Your air hole on the top cap is facing at the wick?
