Ok this is going to be kinda strange.

I recnetly retired a bunch of XL with blue led and now have 5 brand new XL with green. I notice they are just a tad longer then the blues, not sure what that means.

What has been happening lately, is that i fill up a cart, use it, refill it and then i taste something off. When i take my drip tip off, i see that the juice is in fact now all black and i can only assume its burnt since it does not taste right.

I only use coolcarts and juice, so no prefilled carts for me. I know the cart is not burnt since I refill before i get to the point of burning out the cart. I am just curious as to why I seem to be burning juice so much. Seems to happen on the darker juices more, but just roasted a mando one this morning. That makes 6 different carts that have done it.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks

lol your picture cracks me up everytime! You know Ive had kinda the similar issue and all I can think of as the problem is the cartos themselves. Ive been using the coolcarts too and the last few batches have been kinda weird. the juice doesnt soak in right and the flavor starts deteriorating after one fill. Its bothering me. Feel like Ive been wasting juice! Im hoping my next batch of cartos are better or else Im gonna have to try some wow blanks again.

I ordered blanks a couple of weeks ago and they are definately different than the ones that I had before. I thought maybe it was because they are a different color than the ones that I had previously ordered, and thus from a different batch.
I haven't gotten any burned or blackened juice, but they definately don't absorb as much juice when I fill them. I can't say as to flavor, as I just started using spearmint juice with the new carts, and there's nothing bland or mild about spearmint.

*mental note - stop staring at Mabbo's nuts*

I made mention of this in the Taryn Spin video, I think it is a pfill issue. Some of them are wrapped too tight making them more difficult to fill and may also lead to wicking issues. I just got 2 boxes and these (blue wire) seem to be o.k.

Mabbo, have you thought about to sacrificing one to science? Perhaps taking some needle nose pliers and ripping out the Pfill to see if it is burnt and inspect the wicking material and wick tube.

I'm pretty experienced and was drip filling like always, topping-off regularly, started noticing the same thing, took out the pfill and sure enough the carto was toast. Although it didn't burn all the way through the pfill, there was a hole in the wicking material and a matching hole on the wick tube.

Forgot to add that I use both Wow and Premium Cool Carts and that I have only experienced this with the Cool Carts. Wow Cartos seem to be consistent when it comes to very efficient juice absorption and looser polyfill wrapping.

As Clover mentioned, could also try some Wow's and see if the same thing occurs Mabbo.

Stuff like this gets my curiosity going...

Out of 19 XLs that I have, 5 are longer than the others; purple manual w/ blue, 2 metallic red manuals w/red, a black manual w/purple & a black manual w/green. The rest are 2 diamonds, 9 autos & 3 manuals with 4 blue LED's, 3 green LED's, 6 pink LED's & a purple LED. Strange.

omg I really should clean my mind. After laughing at rappel's nut remark, I immediately thought you meant sacrificing a nut to science.

Getting back OT: I've been noticing dark, burnt looking juice when I over fill, but not noticing a burnt taste..... might try different blank carts, too

LOL, you guys crack me up!!

Well I have thought about a donation, but honestly being hung like a squirell, having huge nuts is a selling point to the ladies :) lollolololol

I did take one of the cartos apart, it seems to be only happening on a certain set of cartos. the top wire that you can see when you remove the cap looks like just bare wire, versus the blue covering i can see on other carts. It looks like it might be a overfill problem of sorts. looks like if i fill it up to high the top of the wire is burning the juice.

Maybe just a bad batch of cartos, they are all the light blue and green cartos.

P.s you can now resume staring at my nuts :)
