Hi guys,

I need your help!!! New vaper, I'm afraid might be burning my new batteries and cartos!!! :-(

Photo first, question & info next:

Ok, so I've used the ReadyVape Ego with its generic carto for a couple of weeks - very lightly. One day (I suspect, due to constant leakage onto the battery, or very low liquid level) I smelled and tasted burnt. The vapor got burning hot in my mouth, the battery top very hot to the touch. First I thought it might be the carto, so bought a new one... the burnt thing happened immediately again. Does this mean that the battery is ruined???

Then I bought a Vision & a Joye Ego-T online, along with well-reviewed cartos: a Kanger EVOD and a Vision eGo Stardust V3. They arrived yesterday!

I charged both batteries on my computer USB. I filled the cartos with ejuice, let them sit there for +-20 min, spun each around, made sure the wicks got wet. Put them on the batteries and sucked on them a few times before pressing the button.

The Vision Ego worked perfectly with both cartos. The Joye Ego-T, however, started doing the burning thing - heating up, smell burnt, too hot vapor. That happened with both cartos. I stopped right there before ruining anything. :-(

What am I doing wrong???? How to make sure that I don't burn anything?

Batteries:
- ReadyVape Ego Elite 900mAH (black)
- VISION 1300mAH Spinner EGO VV - FATBOY(white)
- Joye 1000mAh USB Passthrough EGO-T Battery (pink)Cartomizers (or clearomizers, whatever they are called):
-
ReadyVape brand ones (black) Resistance: no idea
- Kanger EVOD (green). 1.8 Ohm)
- Vision eGo Stardust V3 (blue) 1.8 Ohm

Thanks!
Mila

Did you prefill your cartos before putting them in the tank and filling the tank up? I am not a carto fan, but have read that the prefilling of the caromizer is a very important step along with the proper punch holes. Take a look at the carto section in the atomizer forum, should be lots of help there. Good luck.

Since you are using a variable voltage Spinner, what voltage are you using with what resistance clearo? A low resistance clearomizer head coil with a full voltage Spinner could easily burn your juice and coil, resulting in several of the problems you mentioned. We need just a wee bit more information about what is going on please.
