So occasionally when I'm not digging the flavor in my carto tank I'll refill it with a different flavor that I think might work well when mixed with the first flavor. I'm aware that once you fill a carto its not a great idea to change flavor because the first flavor never really goes away. This isn't a big deal for me if the flavor mixture is decent. Anyhow my question is this… When using two different flavors (basically vaping and entire tank full of one flavor and refilling the tank with another flavor using the same carto) with the same ratio of PG/VG, does this typically make the carto burn out faster? I've noticed that every time I've done this in the past week, by the 5th or 6th hit I'm getting a burnt flavor. The burnt flavor starts out subtle and get increasingly more unbearable with every hit. In 2 minutes time I feel like I'm sucking on my cars exhaust pipe. Is this typical? :vapor::vapor:

Hasn't been for me. I use a slap yo momma tool when I add juice. Perhaps you are getting a little ejuice in the hole on the top of your carto.
Sorry that is happening to you. That would be super annoying.

I have a Kir Fanis "Special Prive" tank on the Provari Mini. The tank features a threaded hole with a screw and O-ring closure. The refill hole is just large enough to fix a blunt tip syringe. Thats the only way I refill. I've even tried unscrewing and blowing out the carto from the bottom, just to clear the center of any juice. Its bugging me a bit now and I've been changing cartos like I change underwear.

Hmmm.... Guess the only other "possible" solution would be after you refill from the top screw do a few dry pulls. See if that helps. Wish I had more to help. Guess you could use a different tank, and see if that happens. There are other tanks out there with refill screws and honestly with a slap yo momma refill screw tanks are not really easier to me. I get that your tank matches the way you like.

Are you vaping the carto tank down to empty before refilling? That will shorten the useful life of a carto in a tank. I never vape a tank past the 1/4 full level unless I'm planning on changing out the carto before the next refill. All holes in my cartos are punched low on the carto where they don't become uncovered.

Are you punching 4 holes? I might just try that. I haven't had this problem much. Just noticed it only happens after the flavor changes. I tried the dry pull technique and it doesn't seem to fix the problem.

This has been great. I'll give it a try and report back. I'll try 3 holes next time. I'm also using the Kir Fanis carto punch it's great but getting dull. My holes were bigger when I first got it. The punch pin has dulled a bit. Can I purchase just any old punch pin or do I have to go through Kir Fanis?
