Coils or wick?

My coils get burnt and my cotton gets all dark brownish.

I have some coils that are months old - heat them up, hit them with a steel wire brush and some water - good as new. I'm hoping you are talking about wick or idk what is going on. Wicks normally don't last more than a few days for me.

Whuuut? A month or so? I usually have to heat the coils up till its red hot and then dip it in water to clear off the black stuff accumulated on the coils. But I find myself doing that almost twice a day.

You might just be using a super gunky juice. If the juice is dark in color chances are its going to "caramelize" on the coil and get gunked up, requiring a dry burn to clean it up. That's just a thing that happens with all juices and coils, some just do it faster than others. Also coils that are touching will do this much faster than coils with spaces in between.

I don't know about running the coils under water,
I would think the rapid cooling would weaken the coils.
A couple short dry burns with no wick should clean them just fine!

Alright thanks a lot for the tip. I've been rewicking too often and people have been saying that a packet of cotton can last easily a year but I don't think so or rather I didn't thought so. Anyway my mates have shared with me by heating the coils red hot and dipping it into water proved to work quite well but as per what you said, the integrity of the coils might weaken and that'll pose an issue as well.
