It seems the manufacturers ship the attys with a "primer" fluid in them. I've noticed that this stuff tastes bad and it probably contains machine oil or something.... You might try blowing out your new attys before using.

Also, it could be that the atty is dry. Try dripping a couple of drops of e-liquid directly into the atty.

Is this normal?

Its a joye 510 3 piece with manual battery

Thanks. Yeah... if you haven't cleared the primer fluid out, you'll be getting that for a while. See:

If you've already done that, then the other nasty taste you can get - given your juice is good ;-).... is running out of juice where you're vaping air. You'll get to know this taste. First the flavor starts to drop, then it goes nasty.

Another problem could be the atomizer or wicking in the atomizer gets gunked up. Many fixes for this - some not recommened. Stay with something for human consumption and dry thoroughly after. I've never gotten a 'burning taste' from any filler, including the oem even if it's stuck to the bridge.

Hey everyone I'm new here. DrDos I had the same problem, when I first got my 510 I just hooked up a pre-filled cart and started smoking. Taste was rather harsh and tasted crappy. Have been using the same atty for 2 days now and it tastes much better. It must have just been the primer fluid. Look inside your atty, its possible that some of the poly fill got inside there and is burning.
