Tip- Dont go over 4.2 :)

lol - in all seriousness - how high you can go is based on your juice, your preferences, your resistance (ohms) etc. For me and my juices when I regularly used a VV if I was in volts mode I was generally in the 3s and in Watts mode 6.5-7.5 watts to be in "the sweet spot" with good flavor and vapor and no burny yuck. :D

Hope this helps!

Like she says...turn it down! Don't pay attention to other peoples numbers. If that was the case my throat would be a bloody pulp by now.

I agree, each juice has it's own life with different volts. But then again the coils play a big factor as well.

For example:

If I took an ego-twist and a protank mini II and ran it over 3.7 - 4.0 my juice would give me a burnt taste. But after removing the factory coil, I rebuilt the tank using the "Super Nano Microcoil" that Riptrippers builds in his videos. He claim high volts/watts and no burnt taste and sure enough I can run one of those coils around 5.0 volts and never get dry/burnt hits.

But then again I also vape the same juice on my Stingray on a Kayfun tank with a 1.0 ohm coil in it and expected problems but never had any at the level of heat it produces. That is unless the juice is thick and doesn't feed as quickly as I need it to, then I have dry hit issues.

There are a lot of factors when it comes to dry/burnt hits but in the end just start low, work your way up and don't go for power... go for flavor!

Dont mean to hijack a thread but im a newbie here and couldn't help but notice this.

I often get a burnt taste and throat not feeling very good lately. Been vaping now for about 8 days.

I am using an ego type with around 3.9V coming from battery.

Any advice? Just clean my clearomisers more often?

are you using the ce4 type tanks ?

I used to get sore throat with them when I used to use them, they would work great for me if I kept the power down low but as soon as I held the power button too long or let the wick dry to much between hit's I would end up on a downward spiral, sore throat would also follow as I was pulling harder and harder.
Make sure you've give the wick enough time to do it's job between hit's and if you aren't getting that taste coming through like before then don't keep hold of the fire button in the hope it will, let it wick.
Constant pulling(sucking) will also give you a sore throat! and also vapour's tongue! So take it easy or upgrade to a dripper or rba :)
