so i have the starre going, 0.25ohm coil which is rated 20-100 watts..i noticed on almost all my flavors whenever i go above 50 watts i get a really burnt taste..is that just the juice not being able to handle the power due to the pg/vg percentages? i dont suspect its the coil itself since its rated up to 100 watts

I've been having the same issues. I got my Starre a couple weeks ago and tried several .25 coils. They start off great. 70 watts, big clouds and great flavor. But that would only last a day or less before I would start getting dry hits and tasting bad. And visually, the coil still looked fine. Perfectly clean, barely used.
I tried 3 coils before giving up and tossing some Atlantis V2 (.3 ohm) coils in it. Very disappointing especially after all the hype.

1. Did u prime ur coils before first use ?
2. Are u pulling too fast ?

Just weird. I have some coils that are 2 weeks old with several tanks through them and 75 watts is defiantly not a problem.

What is the PG/VG of the juice? I guess all I have used is 70VG so I have not tried a 50/50. I guess if your Atlantis coil using the same juice and start up methods give you no trouble just report back on that. :(

Yeah, I fill them up before screwing them into the tank, then let them sit. I even let one sit overnight.
I start at a low voltage, usually around 3.9, then work my way up.
Same routine as my other tanks.

I use DIY juice. ~30pg/70vg with 15-20% flavor

It may be my technique. Not sure..
Wouldn't a fast draw increase the wicking?

well after you prime the coils, and letting the coils sit, u can start at like 30w and work your way up
u can try drawing without pressing the power button, do it a few times, then take a draw

if its still bad then... i can only blame it on a bad coil lolz

I have had this exact same problem. They'll last a tank or two at a decent wattage 45W or so. Then they quickly start not being able to handle anything over 35 without tasting burnt or dry. After all the great things I've heard, I was hoping for more. They certainly are very decent for the first couple tanks, but I'm not paying 2-3$ for every 2 5ml tanks.

I had some issues when using the Starre Pro but never on my Maganus/Starre. Maybe it is a bad batch?

Blarg If you are chucking coils out of a 5 pack send me one of your new coils from the same pack and I will send you one from my pack. I will be taking whatever you send me to 70 watts on the 1st tank. Just PM me. This behavior on the coils should take 100ML before this happens.
