Unfortunately this is a known issue with that tank. Mystery dry hits that baffled me and I tried 2 tanks.

The same coils in the original Starre AKA Maganus V2 tank would not give me any problems and I hate to say this, it performed better than the new Pro tank.

Now, once you have had a burnt hit on a coil it is probably shot and random dry hits will keep happening. If you try another coil make sure to prime it really well and maybe it will help, but the tank was frustrating for me. Perhaps someone with better luck with one may chime in.

So that v2 is it a newer tank and is it a top fill? I love the top fill tanks. Sorry I don't no alot about this stuff I have been vaping for 10 months but wow there is so much to learn.and I read so many reviews b4 I bought it and everyone said they had no dry hits I don't get it. I did put a desent amount in to prime it. So I guess I gotta change coil and I just put it in 2 days ago this sux they are to expensive to change like that. People were saying 1 coil lasted weeks.

I have the crown tank to I swear I like a tank at first and either it starts to leak bad or the taste starts to suck or I keep getting dry hits Idk what is up I'm getting frustrated.

The Starre/Maganus (same tanks) V2 is bottom fill and an older model but IMO better than Starre Pro and it holds 5ML and uses the same coils as Pro. Honestly the Starre Pro is the one of the slowest top fills so it ain't so bad dealing with the older ones bottom fill. The original is a better vaping experience. The Crown is easiest as you probably know.

Good news, you can test one cheaply > Original Freemax Starre V2 Tank Clearomizer-14.99 and Free Shipping| GearBest.com

If you are having dry hits with the Crown maybe a contributing issue is also the juice? What brand, VG/PG mix?

The next time you put coils in either tanks, let them sit filled for a few minutes and dry puff on them (no power) for a few minutes with air valve closed, then open, then closed. Keep doing that for at least 2 minutes.

Then vape at 40 watts until the 1st tank is done. 2nd tank you can ramp wattage up. Be patient on new coils breaking in.
