I change my coil base for a clean one when my T3 gets empty. Otherwise the wick gets clogged up and i start getting dry hits, a burnt taste. Been using T3's for months. Got loads of spare coil bases because they're so cheap. Always cooking at 4.3. But, every dark liquid i've tried, in a T3, hasn't vaped at all well so i don't use them in a T3. From my experience the thicker the liquid the better it vapes in a T3. And i don't mean as it thickens i mean thick from the start. Obviously thin liquids don't work in my T3's. So it's 100% vg all the way in my T3.:vapor:

in my desperate attempt w/o any research, i just took out all the liquid, rinsed it with water. now i'm debating if i should re-fill with the e-liquid and try a go again. there is still some water in the tank, are there any harm in mixing them w/ the e-liquid?

You really want it as dry as possible. Take a paperclip and straighten it. Wrap some thin tissue around the tip and use it to gently swab up the remaining water droplets in the tank. You don't want to scratch the inner tank. You can also use a Q-tip by removing some of the fuzz.

Then pulse/dry burn. Fill it up again and try it out.

just fyi i was vaping at 4.8 when this happened. i usually started off at 3.8'ish. how can i tell if my wick is clogged or if its burnt?

You could try to wiggle off the centre tube, lift out the top wicks, and take a look at the coil. If the wick is burnt then you need to replace it which is a bit tricky.

If you have been using the same coil base repeatedly for days on end without switching it out for a clean one then you really need to give it a good clean. Rinse it under the tap and leave it to soak in hot water. Best to have a few spares really.

Yep, make sure you wiggle it out. Some center tubes are on there pretty tightly. A good intermittent dry burn will help in getting any remaining gunk off.

When i first started i was burning wicks ALL the time. Part of it was a bad battery but most of it was because i was hitting it like i did my cigarettes. I would drag hard on a cigarette .. since i found out after some reading on here that you can't vape like you smoke.. not one burnt wick or burnt taste. You may already know how to properly vape. (Let the ecig do the work and gently inhale). There are also youtybe vids. I hope you get it remedied ! Boo to burnt wicks and juice!
