Hello,

I'm new to vaping and after a few weeks my iClear 16 clearomizer has acquired a disgusting burnt taste. I dry burned the coils and washed out the entire clearomizer, but that didn't seem to do anything. My question is: is it harmful to continue vaping it? In my situation i will not be able to get another clearomizer/atomizer for it for at least another couple weeks. Answers are much appreciated :)

When it tastes burnt try priming it several times by taking long draws without pushing the firing button. This pulls juice up into the wick and primes it.

Also, if you want a better clearomizer try the iclear30s. They are much better quality and you can replace the coil/wick.

I never vape burnt juice. The problem is when you burn juice you are creating chemicals that could very well be quite bad for us. One of these is acrolein.

I have no idea weather it's safer to smoke or vape burnt juice.

Bad taste may be caused by three things:

1) Dry hits--not enough e-liquid is getting to the coil to keep it wet, which results in your vaping a hot dry coil. Nasty stuff. Top coil clearos are more prone to this than bottom coil models. Tilt your clearo once in a while to make sure the coil is wet, don't chainvape, reduce your wattage is necessary.

2) Dirty coil. Needs to be cleaned--a nice soak in PGA or denture cleaner is usually enough. I don't dry burn--dual coils are hard to dry burn correctly.

3) Ash left on coils after dry burning. If you dry burn, you have to rinse the coils and wicks afterwards. If you don't, your vape will taste ashy and burny.

The vapor doesn't have any smoke-like smell or anything like that, it smells like my flavor normally does it just tastes bad
