cleaned but still burnt taste?

I have had the kanger e smart for about a month and I keep getting a weird burnt taste when i use it. I tried cleaning it with warm water and dry burning for about 10 min and until no smoke came out of it but all i get is a burnt taste and no flavor from the e liquid. It has a 2.2 or 2.0 ohm resisitance i think and 3.7 voltage. The clearomizer it comes with doesn't have a removable head-it's all metal around the air tube part. All 3 clearomizers are giving me the same burnt taste. What could be causing this and is there a way to fix it? Can you over dry burn the coils? This was the first time i cleaned it so i did it until 5 min after i saw the coils glow. I'm worried that the vapor coming out of it may be harmful to my health?? because i'm not sure what's causing the taste. From what i've read most people said cleaning it would solve the problem but i also saw that if the ohm resistance is too low it can also cause a burnt flavor? I'm confused because this is the clearomizer that specifically comes with the e smart so i wouldn't think there would be a problem. This is very discouraging and is totally ruining my vapor experience. Any help as to an explanation or what i could do to maybe fix it would be great. Thank you. Everyone here has been so awesome and so helpful to a newbie with lots of questions.

Hang on, just let me make sure I've understood your post correctly - you dry burned your coils for 10 minutes?!

I'm not surprised you're getting a burnt taste, if that's the case! I'm afraid those clearos are probably ruined. You don't need to dry burn for that long - you just need hold the button on your E-Smart until the coil starts to glow and then pulse the coil (by releasing the button and then pressing it again just long enough to make the coil glow) 5-6 times.

I looked in the clearomizer section here on ECF for info on cleaning the clearo. I found a link to a YouTube video. I don't have the link handy, nor do I recall the name of the video, but I did find it again by searching on YouTube "how to clean a clearomizer." The video explains and shows quite well how to do it. And, it worked.

I have never dry burned my coils and I am not sure I even need to with the mini nova, but 10 minutes? That is way to long, you probably fried the darn thing. I think you may have to toss them out and buy new ones. I clean mine by soaking the parts in alcohol (91%) for about 20-30 minutes. Then I toss the parts into a boiling pot of water to clean out the alcohol and any residue from the liquid. Set it all out to dry (I keep 4 tanks so I am always able to vape, and I rotate them). After drying for a day, I reassemble and fill..............then I vape away. No problems so far.
