Burnt taste

Hi vapers, newest member here. Just wanna ask a question. Just started vaping with smok xpro m80 with kangertech subtank plus. What I noticed is tat after 3 puff, I started to taste burnt taste instead of the flavouring. Wen I have a peek at the cotton, it's started to burn abit. Any ideas to how I can avoid tis. I'm just very new to tis.

Sounds like you're overpowering your coil and it's burning the wick. What watts are you vaping?

Did you wet the coil with juice and let it sit awhile before firing it? Tell us what ohm coil you have and what the setting are on the m80.

I'm at 22W. Didn't use the temp control though. Just the wattage mode.

I'm using 1.2ohm occ coil. My setting on the mods is 22W without the temp control.

Huh! That coil should hold 22w easy. It may have simply been worn out. They don't last forever. Another possibility is it got dry, the tank ran out of juice or whatever. In any case, put a new coil in, prime it well, and that should fix it. Let us know if it doesn't.

Just started suggests to me you are hitting it too fast, not allowing the wick to absorb. This is also dependent on the liquid used, if high VG it takes more time to absorb due to the thickness. Put in a new coil, prime it well then place in the tank, let it sit for a few minutes, then hit on it. Then allow a little time in between hits, 3 is cool but allow time after the 3rd.....worth a try!

What everyone else said, plus I would dial the wattage down to 12 watts and then crank it up until I found what I like, then if you taste burn, turn it down a little. Make sure you prime your coils real good.

Make sure you prime the coil each time you change it or let it go dry.
Dry cotton will always burn.
