Burnt taste

Hi guys I have a device where I can adjust my watts up to 40 at the moment I have it set at 10 watts when I take up to 12 watts or over it taste like it's burnt and hot.
Any thoughts about this would be nice

What atomiser are you using?also what juice?...flavour and pg/vg ratio.
