The metro and sky articles have an amazing quote. The guy accuses the vaper of acting thoughtlessly, rather than himself:

Man mistakes e-cigarette for bomb - police called and bus evacuated
Mr McGregor voiced his anger at his fellow passenger for sparking the emergency.

He said: ‘It turned out that the passenger, a tourist, had been cleaning out a large e-cigarette device with no thought to what that looked like to others on the bus – resulting in a lot of concern and fear, passengers stuck outside for 40 mins off the motorway with no shelter in a storm, motorway closure and police time wasted.’

It is no ones fault in my mind...as Penny said. If the San Bernadino neighbors spoke up sooner, things might be rather different. But, if everyone spoke up about every little thing, we would all have a collective heart attack...and die.

I would mind the rain if I was going to work, but not going home. Also, it would have been nice if the bus company dispatched another bus for the passengers to sit in, or to move on.

Imagine if that guy had been working on his digital clock in a briefcase ...

Oh wait, that already happened ...

I ride the local Coaster train to San Diego frequently. Last year a particularly obnoxious passenger reported me to the conductor for "acting suspiciously", because I was reading a book and declined to engage in conversation with him ...

Fortunately the conductor knows me, and dismissed the complaint ...

Turns out the guy didn't have a ticket, and was put off the train at the next stop. Karma ... :D
