Last night when leaving work in the dark i dropped my black joye 510 ecig on the black pavement in the parking lot and busted the light cap off the battery. It still works but its kind of weird with the light and chips exposed (couldnt find the cover in the dark). But the thing is, this battery was one of the original batteries i purchased with my kit in September 2010 so its a year old and it is still working like a champ. I have 2 batteries that are a year old this week and 2more that will be a year old in November and all of them are still working. I remember last year i would read about the battery life only to be expected to be a couple months so needless to say i am pleased. Unfortunately that does bring me down to 3 batteries.. although that busted one still works im putting it aside for emergency use only.

So now im planning on buying a new battery or two but also thinking about maybe upgrading? I like the ego battery life but i dont like the clunkyness of it. I also cant afford to switch out and purchase a whole new system. Is there a better joye510 battery out there that last longer then the original? Will the Joye510 Mega xl battery work with my regular battery charger? (I can tell it wont in my PPC) Would love any advise, thanks!

Another thing you need a backup of is the charger that comes with the kit. The one that plugs into the computer. You know which one I mean? I have had 3 break in 11 months of vaping. One of them the wires became exposed at the point where it connects into the black plastic and just quit charging. 2 of them the plastic box where the charging light is located fell apart. I put them back together, but they charged haphazardly after that and eventually quit working. I've learned to keep 3 chargers here at all times.

The XL batteries lasted me around 3 hours. Are you sure you can't get used to the size of the larger batteries? It's really nice not to constantly switch out batteries all day.

Glad your old battery survived the fall! I am such a klutz and I end up dropping my batteries all the time..the result is a bunch of batteries that still work but have chipped paint : ( I'm just waiting for the day when I drop one and it breaks.

I could probably get used to the longer size BUT since the majority of my batteries are the normal size and i need a new PCC, im going to stick with the regular sized for now. I have a pass through, on my second one although i dont use it as often as I should :) Anyway, its cool now that they have colors, which wasnt available last time i ordered batteries, just disappointed there were no purples in stock!
