i just saw a pen soldering iron
!BhwZ9hQBmk~$(KGrHqMH-C8EsMMWdgc6BLKp97NjpQ~~_35.JPG

similarities to ecig features are remarkable i think.

has anyone tried a ecig with butane gas to heat up a chamber. u could have a button on it to move another chamber to warm up the eliquid.

that pen solding iron is refillable with standard lighter gas canisters. also its on ebay for less than $5

that would mean no more batteries/charging. also the atomizer would be replaced with a chamber instead of a coil.

what you people think?

ya that was good. gonna make my own solor powered pass though now.

butane brick looks abit big and chunky tho. pen version would be so cool.

there is another version put out by some people at MIT I'll see if I can find a link. it's about pen sized, but it's bad point is that it only uses their carts. you can't refill it and it won't work with anything else.

I really think there would be a market for both a butane penstyle refillable and a solar powered PT. Now what I want for camping and fishing is a small flashlight model were the Led is actually a flashlight that can be turned on or off as needed.

But, then you're applying flame. Isn't that part of the definition of an analog cig? Aren't you kind of crossing the line and playing into the hands of the FDA by applying flame to a tobacco product? Won't that turn the definition of vape back to smoke? Law writers love to skew words and definitions of words and I'm afraid vaping with flame might put us into an unrecoverable quandry.

"In order to vaporize our flavor blends, we add glycerin and propylene glycol because they form a pleasing vapor when gently heated, consistent with the temperatures at which the flavor of tobacco and other botanicals is released. These ingredients are sourced domestically from trusted suppliers."

ploom: Technology

Hmm, 1 pod, 5 to 10min, 12pods/pack, 1pack - 5.95.

Anyone have one of these?

good point but let me clarify:

the butane gas flame would not heat up the e-liquid directly in contact. it would heat up a metal plate chamber where the juice sits inside. the flame is just to get the metal plate/atomiser hot enough to cause vapour.
